“I really like the R2 remote compared to the old style, it is much more intuitive and as a result rarely use the brake button. I would've provided 5 stars except the remote didn't come in a state where it immediately worked out of the box. I had to search for instructions to work out how to configure it. The biggest issue was the the acceleration trigger was reversed, fully depressed was stopped and fully released was top speed. It took me about an hour to find the appropriate setting and flip -+ sign.”
“The remote arrived very quickly. My first ride with it was no good due to the accelerator not responding consistently & the motors pulsing, then working, not working etc. I thought it was faulty but luckily i asked about it in a FB group & was told to recalibrate the controller due to the brake switch being set too low. I followed the Evolve instructional video on how to do it & set the brake minimum with the switch the tiniest bit depressed so it doesn't accidentally think it's on when it's not being pressed. The remote works 100% fine now & i didn't have to send it back : )”
“The guys at Evolve were really, really helpful and willing to get things done. My motor controller died and they sent a new unit asap. On arrival we determined that the old controller wasn't configured for the new firmware. Rather than muck around returning old controller for upgrade etc, I purchase a new controller and received it the following day. I was back on the road in a couple of days.
