“Definitely worth getting one, the control over acceleration and braking is more accurate, plus the info and live readouts are very useful. Very natural and comfortable to hold.
The battery does last a full charge of the board but barely, currently getting about 25kms/1.5hrs from board and remote is basically flat by the end.”

“Well I find the dead man switch ruins the feel of the handle, it's unnecessary anyway, nobodies ever going to use it. Still getting used to 1 finger acceleration, and thumb brakes, after 10 years using 1 finger for both. But I'm sure that's just practice needed. 60/100”
“This remote is a big step up from the original remote you get with the GT boards. Having a longer throw for the trigger is really nice and brake on top takes a little getting used to but makes way more sense. A couple things I would do slightly differently if I could.
1. Make the LCD cover matte. The reflection on sunny days can be difficult to read.
2. Make power delivery instant as the trigger needs to be pulled in a little before it takes off and I can't seem to get muscle memory for the friction point.
3. Batter of the remote seems to run out way faster than the old one but it does more so makes sense.
4. I wish I had the ability to disable safe mode on boot. I like the idea of safe mode for re-connection after disconnect but each time I turn on the board I just want to go. It doesn't make a huge deal of sense to put it in safe mode then.
Otherwise the remote is almost perfect. Ergonomics are so much better and it feels way more solid and quality than the old one.”
