“Love the new remote. Huge improvement compared to the original remote. Dont have any connection problems and has a smoother feel. Wish I upgraded earlier.”
“I bought two remotes to replace the R1 remotes we already had for our Carbon GT & Bamboo GT boards. After a couple of rides it soon became apparent that these are much better remotes. They link faster and more consistently, the throttle and brake are much smoother. I didn’t like the ‘dead man’ switch much but there’s an option to switch it off so problem sorted. The only criticism I’ll offer, and the reason I didn’t go full 5star, is that it’s too easy to break. If you’re a bit of a newbie and fall and hit the ground striking the nose of the remote it’ll shear apart breaking the display :-(
On the upside Evolve are a company with very good customer support so I’ve sent it in for repair... but I’m also gluing a rubber bumper onto the nose of my remaining remote!”
