“What a gift! Evolve really outdid themselves this time! I’ve been riding Boosted for years now and probably would’ve never considered buying another manufacturer’s e board but when my girlfriend surprised me with the Hadean bamboo with ABEC 11 107 mm wheels, I was blown away from the unboxing to the first ride and am still blown away by its unyielding performance, sleek low rider looks and the range! I’ve gone to extreme lengths to get as much range out of my Boosted Boards. (“Yes, I said boards with an “S”) as possible including buying and packing 2 spare extended range batteries for my boosted stealth and let me tell you: carrying around 2 spare Boosted XR batteries in a backpack so that I can get 15-20 miles on a single ride was quickly becoming a burden not worth riding for. To top it off, the boosted battery packs aren’t hot-swappable so swapping out a battery while you’re on the go can prove to be more difficult than the manufacturer will admit. I’ve ruined 2 batteries and an ESC trying to swap them in the field. The barrel connector on the battery is round and keyed which is supposed to help the user align the pins correctly before committing the connection. Unfortunately, the key on the male connector in dainty, allowing the user to accidentally misalign the pins therefore ruining either the battery or the ESC/motor controller. Both of which has happened to me. So….2 batteries and an ESC later and over $1500 in repairs makes me hesitant to ride like the speed demon I am. We’ll, thank you Evolve, for making it possible to enjoy my board without constantly and obsessively worrying about my battery life. The Hadean also has many upgrade possibilities. All of which makes owning and riding this board a total win! But it! You won’t regret it.
(Caution: read and pay attention to the owners manual! This thing is VERY powerful!)”
“Rode a GTR AT 2.3 years. Bought the Hadean Bamboo AT to try it out a month ago, and I’m very happy I did. I found these really are worth the extra cash to me: can climb the steep mountain road behind my house (!); the longer wider bit-flexier drop down style deck; the extra power for when I hit sand patches; the battery capacity for the steep long mountain road; the smoothness and durability of the remote.
Previously, I didn’t think I’d value an upgrade over the GTR for 5 more pounds of weight. But I really do.
