Absolutely rode the c#@p out of this board for a year. It never missed a beat on or off the trail and was always ready for more and still is no issues whats so ever, probably the best entry level board on the market imo. Well done evolve!

This thing rips, I’m new to long boarding, haven’t been on many skateboards in about 20 years. And I have to say, evolve has put under my feet the most fun I’ve had since the snow melted. I’ve been riding the E board for almost 2 months and I’ll say there’s a learning curve to hash out with the controls, if you’re a newb and having a throttle to something that’s being stood on is completely new, then I recommend playing around on flat ground to get a feel for the controls, especially speeding up and braking. The brakes engage electrically so there’s no progressive braking at higher speed for us speed junkies, something smoother would be even nicer, but I’m not sure we’re there just yet technologically. So no foul in the board. If this lasts through the warranty Ill hope to add a second set up so I can invite friends out with me. Only let down is that I’ve gotta try to convince other people to buy one so we can cruise together.

Hey Zak, Thanks for the awesome review! With the Hadean series in combination with the Phaze remote, you can adjust the acceleration and braking to suit your needs 😄 Hope this helps, happy riding! Evolve Skateboards

So I've had my board for about a month now and I absolutely love it! I've ridden with both the Street and AT setups and I have to say they both are equally good. The street setup with 107mm wheels is perfect for commuting around town and the AT setup is a blast to ride around local trails. I also live in a fairly hilly area and the board has no trouble getting up and over. The only slight issue I had is that I felt the brakes had become more aggressive than they should be, and even after doing a trigger reset on the remote the issue persisted and caused me a crash at high speed (I was ok, wearing proper safety gear). Despite this however, I still love to ride and I will definitely be upgrading to a Hadean when I can afford it!

Hi Andrew! Thank you so much for taking the time to review your new board! We are happy to hear that you have been enjoying your ride. To address your concerns, switching to pro mode instead of GTR mode when going down a steep hill or simply starting to feather the breaks towards the top of the hill before gaining full speed are two things that can alleviate harder breaking. Happy shredding! :) Evolve Team USA

I bought one of these when it first came out in 2020 and had an issue with one of my motors overheating and eventually failing. Evolve fixed it under warranty, and I've had no other problems. I'm writing this on 2/17/22, and just this week Evolve reduced prices by around $500 per board. In my opinion, they have now moved from a company making a high-priced, low volume niche product to being much closer to mass-market. I'm telling all my friends that the GTR is now the best, most affordable eboard on the market. I'll hang onto mine until the Hadeans get another price drop to $1700-1800 for bamboo street (my GTR all terrain kit will swap over). Really excited to see where Evolve goes from here. Hopefully downsizing/weight reduction of the battery in the future to make the boards a bit lighter, but I haven't been following battery tech R&D so maybe that's not feasible.

It’s an awesome product. My second electric skateboard, so I can really feel the difference in many ways. I HAVE NOT even tried the “street” version of the board as I’m so pleased with the off road version. I often ask myself, am I ever going to put the street wheels on?? The board is just so well made and well thought out. I feel like I have received TREMENDOUS value in this purchase. I want to thank Jeff personally for putting so much of his life into this product so we can all enjoy it. You really can’t complain about anything. Wonderful experience all around.

I REALLY don't like that the brake and accelerator functions on the hand control are separate. This requires me to balance the control in the palm of my hand while I change from accelerator to brake, making the transition slow and clumsy. A couple of times I've been presented with a road hazard ahead and the delay in the braking process is akin to a car driver discovering that there's a built-in delay after pressing the brake pedal before the car's brakes start to apply! This wouldn't be ok in car and I don't know why you think it is, in a skateboard. A couple of times also, the hand control has nearly wriggled out of my grasp during this process. A simple knurled wheel control - accelerate in one direction, brake in the other, would solve this problem.

Took off the speed limiter and changed the wheel settings and it’s the most fun I’ve had in a long time!

Living in the hills has been scary to ride a board without a brake. But Evolve has made riding fun and easy.
