“This board is a lot of a fun and I really love the feeling of carving. The build quality is solid and I appreciate the attention to detail. The manual is straightforward and you can tell that Evolve has put a lot of thought into safety and ease-of-use. They have a lot of helpful Youtube videos as well. I've already run through a complete service of the board, following along with their tutorial.
There has been one hiccup in my experience with Evolve. I ordered the 2-1 street conversion with 107mm ABEC11 wheels. When I tried to do the conversion I found that they had sent me a 32T drive gear and not the 38T required for the wheels (listed as part of the street conversion sold separately).
I called up their support line and was told that if you use a 'lot of force' you can get them to work. I tried to hammer it in with a rubber mallet putting all of my weight into it and it didn't want to go. This seems like terrible design. Even if you can get this gear into the wheel, what happens if you need to get it out again to install a speed ring or re-apply lubricant to the bearings as part of routine maintanence?
I'm sending the wheels and belts back for replacement. Evolve won't send out any replacement parts until the shipping number is confirmed. End result is that I'll probably have wait 2-3 weeks before I can try out the street wheels I ordered. This has really tarnished my overall experience and I'm pretty disappointed.”

We have taken your feedback on board and updated multiple parts on the website in an effort to help others understand the difference in gear sizes. Both the 32T and the 38T drive gears are compatible with the 107mm wheels, the 32T gears will take you 47kph with minimal torque, and, the 38T gears will take you 39kph and offer maximum torque! The standard gearing that comes with all street skateboards is the 32T. If you would prefer the 38T gears, we can certainly help you out, you’ll just need to ask us!

“After shopping around for an electric longboard, I decided to go with Evolve. Absolutely no regrets! The price may be at a premium, but as soon as you get your hands on it, you see where your money goes. Build quality is great, and the components are solid. I've ridden it around my neighborhood, on mountain bike trails, and even took it to a BMX dirt park the other day, and shredded it all! People are constantly stopping to ask what I'm riding (eskate isn't as big on the east coast yet).
I'm a heavier rider, 210lb on a good day. I changed out the bushings for 98's and it rides great for me. Despite being on the upper end of the Bamboo's listed weight capacity, I still reached 22mph on street wheels, and rode 28 miles on the all terrain wheels in pro mode with 7% left when I got home!
I will purchase the Carbon soon, not because anything is wrong with the Bamboo, but because off the off-road performance. The Bamboo scraped a couple times due to the battery hanging down under the board, and dirt/dust got into the grooves, which made it a little more difficult to clean out. My girlfriend wants one, so I'll pass her the Bboo and use it as an excuse to get the Carbon!”
“ok, so at first I was skeptical. I mean, as a mother of 2 and someone who didnt ride skateboards really... I was thinking this is pretty expensive but I will try it out.
It is AMAZING! easy to learn, easy to ride, fun to customize... We are having a blast and my youngest daughter is going crazy with her regular skateboard now as well as this one. She does extra chores so she can go out on the Evolve.
