“I'm addicted to riding this board. As an older guy who used to surf, skate and snowboard fanatically in my youth, this board is allowing me to recapture some of the old stoke, and to do so almost every day of the week. The versatility of this thing is insane. You can straight-line it for high-speed thrills or you can slow it down a bit and carve like you're hitting a powder stash or cutting back to the foam. It changes the way you look at urban terrain and is just good for the soul. The board itself is beautiful to look at and the deck and drive train components all seem well made. I've had two issues: 1/ the grip tape has always peeled up at one corner, 2/ the cover for the charging port doesn't stay securely in the port. Service-wise, I've only dealt with purchase and shipping. Purchase was straightforward but shipping was slightly confusing as the first tracking link I received didn't work.”
“Remote broke within a week not a great acceleration curve not a step up from the GT pretty disappointed to be honest would of left a good review but staff where rude and generally always have been to me even tho I'm a massive supporter and have had people buy over 30 boards because of me shredding it for the last 2and a half years on the GT, step your game up guys.
Stronger remotes exchangeable batteries lower prices and get rid of the acceleration curve”
“To be fair I’ve very much enjoyed my board since I got it; it’s great fun, great range, and so far very reliable.
My one concern is it feels a bit cheap in some areas of construction; like the designers were sometimes more focussed on making it cost less rather than more reliable or safer. The remote, for example, is a plastic children’s toy, and the charging port cover might as well not exist for all the time it pops open. I’ve also heard of a decent amount of people who have had pretty significant and sudden issues with the board in the first 12 months. None of these are things you want to be thinking about when you’re carving down the hard cement at 30kmh+.
I personally would be happy to pay an extra couple hundred and get something solid and reliable (rather than be waiting for the other shoe to drop as I currently am with this one). But again, my board’s behaving well so far. I’ll definitely be watching evolve’s next board closely to see if the design-philosophy becomes more quality, less cheap.”
“I started to commute to work on my Evolve GTR with all terrain wheels a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. It is such a fantastic equipment; reliable, fun, relaxing.”
