“This board has probably been the most fun purchase of my adult life. It actually saved me a great deal of money. I will explain. I changed professions and no longer needed a truck. While a Prius would be the most economical and rational choice for a car, I could not bring myself to buy one. I hopped on Craigslist and I was soon looking to purchase a used BMW 3 series. To justify this as rational, I researched the most reliable models and wanted to buy a 2008-2012 with a straight six. I was budgeting $10,000. But here's the thing. I had moved to Oakland and everything I needed access to (including the school I teach at) was within a 5 mile radius to me. I realized this wasn't about transportation as it was wanting to have fun. My older brother had a 1987 3 series and it was so much fun to drive. The purchase I was considering making was emotional and highly irrational. Fast forward. This skateboard is a 1/10th the cost of a vehicle, and gets me around town a whole lot faster. I never have to look for parking. I don't have to pay fuel, insurance, or maintenance (so far anyways). I'm also saving money on what I used to pay Uber, Lime, or Bird-- the scooters that litter the streets of Downtown Oakland. It was only a few dollars here and there, but the costs add up. Not to mention, those scooters only reach a top speed of 15mph, and are nowhere near the vicinity of the Evolve Stoke in terms of the fun factor. They also weren't always available, either. This purchase has turned out to be incredibly fun, while also carting me around town swiftly and efficiently. I held on to the money I would have spent on a car and now I am saving $150 on monthly parking, another $100 on insurance, and $1000 a year on potential maintenance (the average annual expense for the BMW I was considering). The Evolve Stoke is the Ultimate Riding Machine. And much like a BMW, it is engineered with the whole experience in mind. It isn't the fastest board on the market, but it is PLENTY fast. More importantly, it is built for performance and the overall user experience. Everything functions seamlessly together. It is quick, stable, and built to last. I demo'd other boards, and this was top of the line. Yes, it is pricey, but the value is absolutely there. It still has that new car smell of course, and I haven't put enough miles on it to really attest to it's longevity; but from everything I have experienced so far, I have a hunch that this thing is going to be fun for many miles to come. With a used BMW, it would only have been a matter of time before I had to bring it to the shop. In a brand new Evolve Stoke, I have the peace of mind of a warranty. Hopefully this company stands by their products for years to come. IF so, I will be here to continue singing their praises! Way to knock this product out of the park, Evolve.”
“It really is the Ferrari of the skateboards , this ride smooth and fast and is very versatile, Im 220 pounds and this thing goes up hills like no problem, it’s like real incredible, If you are reading that to know if the skate is good, I can tell it is awesome”
“Had the original Evolve Carbon AT for the last 7 years. Only just upgraded and the Stoke fixes the little things I didn't like about the Carbon AT and improves on all the things I loved about that board!! Could not recommend more highly.”
“I ordered my Stoke Evolve Skateboard on the 6th of July and as of writing this have not received the board (22nd of July). I have ridden my friends board and fell in love with it. Riding and carving gives me deja vu of snowboarding, which is always a positive. It is just a shame I was not informed of how long my own board would take to arrive.”
“I love being able to climb hills and have brakes coming down aswell is comforting. Love having a rear kick aswell. Being an Australian company is great because I’d rather buy australian”
