“I bought a stoke board a few weeks ago and have used it as commuter to work. It’s been great. Still flys quickly even tho I’m 110kg rider, with a few small hills I’m about 9km out of a full charge.”
“I found the stoke a real joy to ride after having purchased a carbon and two bamboo Longboards previously. It’s far more practical to get around university and more crowded areas than the Longboards and I really appreciate it. It also blends in much better in a stealth sense”
“Yeah it’s unreal crazy amount of power but all depending on what mode you have it set on from Safe to PRO GTR a Skate board to have fun on and transport at the same time and you will never be able to get sick of it !!”
“Took me a while to decide whether to order a Stoke purely based on the price... but glad I did! I ordered it on a Saturday morning and it was delivered the following Tuesday, since then I’ve been on it every single day...
If you’re like me and a bit price conscious although there is a lot of cheaper options on the market I can 100% guarantee you won’t regret the quality, power & handling of the Stoke. Get one ordered!!”
“Overall this board is amazing! And it’s incredible to experience this dream come to reality - I remember back in the day longboarding and bombing down hills only to have to kick back up and dreaming of having a motorized longboard... Well nearly 20 years later and here it is! And it does not disappoint. This thing absolutely shreds! However, that said a few improvements and upgrades will be required for the serious skater (or generally anyone who is coming to the e-skate community as a previous skater).
First of all the stock bearings have to go! Ran them twice and after a few slides they were so busted that they where essentially garbage. Unfortunately I didn’t realize how bad the stock bearings were until after I had one motor short out on me. Evolve was quick to honor there warranty and sent me a replacement motor - so no major qualms there, other than being out a board for a few days (but fortunately I bought two boards - one for my wife - so I was able to make do being short a board). But once I got the new motor installed, I noticed the other motor bogging down and finally desired to strip down the board and wheels to see what was happening. And there I found it! Once removed from the wheels - in preparing to clean them - I realized that the bearings barely spun when gripped between two fingers. (For us skaters, this is how you quickly diagnose a busted bearing) The bearings had to be manually cranked to turn with quite a bit of effort, and it was just one or two of them, but all of them and in both of my boards. So I tossed those and replaced them with some Bones Big Balls (cheeper and more durable than what Evolve offers). Immediately I noticed a significant difference with better glide and higher roll speeds, even increased my max speed in both boards (not just one!) from 18/19 mph to 21/22 mph. Which makes me wonder how much Evolve would save from honoring warranties for burned out motors if they just used better quality bearings (just because e-skate is new doesn’t mean you need to reinvent the wheel - or in this case the bearing - just use quality products already developed by reputable brands, they don’t even have to be expensive, just quality).
Second, I replaced the bushings with RipTide performance bushings using 90A in the front trucks and a 90A/92A combo in the rear trucks, running the 92A closest to the deck. This was a easy trade out that made a phenomenal difference in the boards stability, especially when carving at speed. I only did this with one of my boards, but after watching my brother go down from speed wobbles while doing 20 mph, I am likely going to make this upgrade to the other board as well. This change out had limited impact on the boards maneuverability while making a significant difference in the stability.
Third - I also added in a RipTide front foot stop that acts like an additional grip and helps to lock in your foot. This addition isn’t vital like the other two upgrades, but did make a difference with being able to lock your front foot in for consistent buttery slides (front side and back side). Also just nice to not have to look down to know where your foot is when cruising @ 20.
Overall though, I am absolutely STOKED about my Stoke! The improvements where a given and if your spending the money on one of these boards, do your self a favor and make the additional investment in making a few upgrades. Well worth it to bring out the true potential of these boards! I got this board for the sake of skating - not commuting - so no real complaints on the mileage (I average about 5 to 6 miles a charge - but that is 5 to 6 miles of hard acceleration, carving, and sliding) and hands down beats walking 5 or 6 miles up hill to ride 5 or 6 miles down hill. If your looking for a commuter board probably look into the GTR models. But personally, I love the surfy carves and the addition of the flared kick tail - just gives these boards a more traditional longboard feel than the snowboarding feel you get from the GTRs.
Either way though, you won’t regret this purchase as long as you have patience and are willing to do a little work to optimize and dial in your board. As soon as you do that - MAGIC and “a whole new world awaits”! Can’t wait to see where the future of e-skate goes with Evolve stepping up the game and taking the e-skate in a new direction while honoring the tradition of skating roots.

“I love electric boards and have 5 of them. Original Boosted Board, Boosted Mini, One Wheel, Carbon GT, and the Stoke.
This is hands down my go-to board. The GT is my 2nd favorite but I only use that if I need to go really far.
The stoke is fast, nimble, and compact. The perfect all around board. 10/10”
