“Where to begin? Evolve has spent 10 years perfecting their product and their flagship end result to date is beyond spectacular.
The deck has great flex, it really feels like the kind of longboard I used to regularly ride. The wheels are so grippy and smooth, they roll over everything, most pebbles aren't really on the radar anymore. The precision bearings make a noticeable difference too. The trucks are made for endless carving, the forge process makes me feel much safer when it comes to their durability and the bushings are bouncy. I look forward to checking out the different kinds of bushings just released. The motors chew through hills at high speed without a morning coffee. With all this combined the ride is smooth, responsive, fast, yet gentle where needed. The brakes and acceleration are everything that an Evolve GT owner has been wishing for when owning one: much more gradual and smoother which feels super safe yet still gets you to a full stop in no time. In fact, all the electronics have been updated to include more functionality like a speed limiter (for anxious parents) and a remote battery saving mode which is a blessing.
The range is as advertised which is insane to me living in a city full of hills. I did a monstrous ride the day before yesterday and got stuck on 0% battery up on a massive hill, the board kept going for a further 1.4k on the flat before reaching the downhill point, and using the regenerative braking I got 5% back out of it which then boosted me home swiftly in GTR mode.
Every component of the board is so well put together. It feels like an expensive piece of equipment should, and it looks absolutely stunning (especially with the head turning LED strips during night rides).
The recharge time is swift considering I hardly have days when I ride it below 60%. The remote has a nice weight to it now and actually has a beyond respectable battery life now which makes me almost forget about the fact I have to chuck it on charge from time to time. Connection time is near instant, it's really keen to take you for a ride.
I've read somewhere that people found the rubber charging port on the board to be a nuisance and I chuckled with disbelief at first but after a couple of weeks I can attest that it is a little annoying from time to time having to pop it back in (or struggling to in the first place but maybe that's just a Male issue). The only other thing that needs more work is the Evolve app, which I understand is in its early days yet, so I look forward to it when it's more accurate and reliable.
The GTR has made to (in between) and from work an enjoyable experience, commuting in general an effortless breeze and life overall a whole lot more fun and exciting. Just writing this makes me wonder why I'm not going for another cruise before it's too late. I'm off to shred some more tarmac

The remote is very fragile. I dropped it less then 3 feet and shattered screen.
Still works though! The new battery flex is the Bomb! Haven't rode my boosted for a while, and patiently waiting for the stoke which I ordered and paid for over a month and a half now. Keep it up!

“Okay, first off I have 2 Boosted Boards and the older Bamboo GT. The GT was good but not great because of the battery sag issue. The GT's ride was awesome and you just can't beat those double hung trucks. Boosted doesn't have that same carve feeling at all. Anyway, when I saw that the GTR was available with no wait time, I threw down my money for the Street version and when I got on it - WOW. This is the ride I was waiting for and love it. I ride when I can to work which is most days. The 97s help handle craggy road well and the battery just lasts forever. My only gripe is the weight but hey to go up to 30 miles, you need big batteries. Love it. Worth every dime. Now lusting after the orange tires but I didn't get them the first time around because they wanted $10 more just to change the wheels before shipping it out. I might just get a set for the old GT.”
“Have had the board now just over a week. First evolve board and I'm glad I made the decision to go with these guys after having bad experiences with previous hub motor e-boards.
I use this bad boy every day to get too and from work. Really comfy under the feet, the 97mm wheels roll over everything in my path a lot has gone into this board and you can definitely tell when your on it cruising down the street.
Still early days but so far this board has blown my expectations out the water!”
“I'm getting on. So it's been a while since I skated properly but I was into my long boarding "back in the day"
You see the thing that my generation is really waiting for are hover boards. The reality is we are now in our 40s and despite the rapid pace of progress still... No hover boards! I know right!?
So now it's a question of when will we get hover boards... I mean this tech may not be available till I'm in my 70s.
This Deck is a perfect fill in. Very little learning curve, increadbly stable and comfortable to ride (Bamboo GT) and long range. The speed is good not over the top compared to slamming a hill on a long board, but still a lot of fun and crucially I will be able to use this into my latter years so I'm ready when decks go wheeless!
At this products price point I am basically it's target demographic, disposable income an having a mid life crisis. And I'm telling you they have nailed me to this Deck!

“Only had the board for a week and have already ridden about 150km. Look forward to finishing work every day to go for a ride. I'm amazed at the range. Advertised as 50km range, but I'm getting around 55 - 60km per charge. Really impressed with everything about the board. Love it!”
