Im 42 and have no longboard experience. I have never felt out of control, the controller works great delivering power and great breaking when needed. The board is extremely stable, starts to wobble a bit above 30km but thats a simple adjustment if speed is your thing, insane carving is where its at for me though, I just cant believe how well it carves! AT is my favourite setup on fast mode as you can go as slow or fast as you want with the added power when needed, just cruises over any terrain.
The change over from AT to street is easy, takes me about 15mins and only do it at home as theres a few very small washers and screws.
The quality is excellent, it really is a thing of beauty!
I had a go on a Fiik today and there is no comparison, this thing is miles ahead!!

“I got my GT Carbon 2 in 1 and it was great for 3 rides. I rode into town in Brisbane, turned off the board and the remote, and had a coffee. when i turned the remote back on, i just got a white screen and had to catch a taxi home. is there a way to reset the remote or is it dead?”
“Been riding about 2 weeks now and I feel right at home already. I haven't skated much but have snowboarded heaps so it all feels quite familiar in the AT setup and gives me that same feeling of carving it up in the snow.
The trigger feels insanely sensitive at first but you soon get used to that. GT mode on the road feels crazy fast and I have been finding that Fast mode is totally adequate for most street riding. Flip into GT mode when hitting the grass and it pulls up steep hills with ease. Be careful when the battery starts getting low though because it completely cut out on me when riding with full throttle in GT mode up a hill and it sent me rolling onto the grass.
Really great build quality and so much fun to ride. Super versatile too with the AT setup and you can go pretty much anywhere.”
