“This is no cheap purchase, which you are well aware of if you're reading this review. Nothing about this skateboard is cheap, not the price, not the quality, not the performance. I spent months researching these before taking the plunge, and even though I spent countless hours watching people unbox them and ride them on every platform under the sun, I still was blown away when I got to try out my own. I knew it would be fast but how can it be THAT fast?? and uphill?! This thing has let me feel raw fear unlike anything else in years, and I love it.”
“Fairly new to skateboarding and a few friends recommended the Evolve boards; had dismissed initially due to the cost until i started to research the other options and it became apparent that actually in the scheme of things i could make the numbers work. Ordered a 2 in 1 setup and have loved the versatility of the AT wheels and i would say i prefer them overall. Amazing carving . But for that skateboard feel the 97's are awesome. Didn't fancy the 107mm due to quite some consistent bad press. Have used it more or less every day an switched out to the street wheels today that have opened up a new level of fun on the board. Not sure which ones ill stick with but with a 10 min switch out its not such a big deal, or maybe i need to buy another board :) The compromise in comfort on the 97mm may mean i switch back, although had good reviews on Dope Tape (cushioned grip tape). If you are on the fence, get off the fence now and buy one, 0% finance was the ideal way forward for me.”
“Great power and quality product.
Although the electronic controller in the board stopped functioning after my first day riding the board. But the staff at evolve were really quick and efficient at fixing the problem.
The controller could be made from a more sturdy plastic or rubber, would be a great improvement.”
