“They're awesome boards! I think that Evolve should make a cheaper long board because not everyone has the money to buy the best. But the non expensive boards have not as good engines and not as good weels. Make it so if the buyer has money to spend on their Evolve, all they have to do is go into a store and ask one of the nice staff if they can book an upgrad (better engine) for there board. For the more expensive boards, you should also make all of the Evolve boards water proof! For example: (this is why I marked the tech lower) I'm rideing my all terrain Evolve board in the bush and I'm hedding home and it starts to rain, how am I going to keep my board dry? And I think every board should come with a free helmate so that it encourages saftey on our roads. These are just some suggestions. Evolve have great boards and I would DEFINATLY reccomend to my friends. Thankyou!!!”
“Not grown up as a skater but quickly got the hang of this beast and it's soooo much fun. Decided to go with the ATV version as it's so versatile. Buzzing round the streets and multistory car parks like I was a kid again. Just awesome:-)”
“The quality of many aspects of the board (grip tape, trucks, carbon fibre body, battery power after 40%) is very poor and will not withstand past the warranty. I have had problems in the first week with the grip tape coming off. Evolve has denied responsibility and to present a solution which is very disappointing seeing as it has happened with a very short time after purchasing.
The battery is not suited to providing power after 50/40% and GTR mode is effectively useless after that point. Other brands such as Boosted do not share this same problem and give consistent power until 0%.
I would urge any potential buyers to do their research and you find similar stories to this in online forums.
Looks good performs not very good. Basically a repackaged Carbon GT with a bigger battery that can't perform after half the battery is used. It takes 5+ hours to charge with a fast charger (included) but that degrades the battery faster.”
“I have used this for my 14 mile roundtrip commute, makes it there and back with 40% charge, so I feel like they are pretty accurate about the distance that they say it goes. 20 mph is fast enough for me while staying decently safe or having some ability to react. The tires/trucks are my favorite part, it isn't really longboarding, its more comfortable than long boarding, not as much jostling, less to worry about from rocks on the roads, very smooth feeling while turning or accelerating when you get the hang of the acceleration trigger.”
