The board definitely goes MUCH faster. We ship all boards out with a 20km speed limit. If you have a look in the manual, you'll be able to turn this off.
“Positives// Excellent quality deck finish, Smooth ride, acceleration and braking. Great remote control, with extended recharge cycle. Much improved electronics via the new Battery Management System and Electronic Speed Controller. I haven't fully tested the range yet but it looks like getting around 50klms under good conditions. I also like the improved roll from the ceramic wheel bearings.
No real Negatives// Although the remote control screen could be a little easier to read and the AT wheel/ tyre combination could be improved by better balancing.
Summary// An Excellent Well Built Product that represents great value for your money. Congratulations and Well Done to the EVOLVE TEAM.”

The battery I purchased was the travel battery.
I am disappointed ☹️ with the battery . It will only travel about 5km before running flat on the road.”

Sorry to hear you're disappointed about the range on the travel battery. We made this smaller battery to fit within airline regulations so you can actually travel with the boards!
Max distance with the all-terrain tyres is 10km, please ensure your tyres are pumped to a 40 - 45 PSI.

“I had a Bamboo GT prior to the GTR and I will just say the GTR is 100x better in every way. I like how the New GTR doesn't prorate the battery and have it die while going up hill. Also the range is insane i put my board on Eco mode and I got 15 miles with 40 percent battery remaining on AT Tires. Much better than the Bamboo GT and all Boosted Boards #NoRegrets”
“I've done a ton of research before purchasing this board. I love the fact that you can change the wheels from all terrain to street wheels and vice versa. The speed and range is another reason why I got this board. The remote is easy to use, and the Evolve app is a great way to track everything you do on the GTR. I brought this board for fun, but I've started using it to commute as well. I haven't done a group ride yet, but can't wait to do one here in NYC. I ride my GTR almost everyday since I got it. It's a solid, good looking board. Ride safe!”
“The power is great, remote is very responsive and the brakes work well. Just have to get used to adjusting your stance with acceleration and braking. Battery life is awesome and charges reasonably fast. AT wheels are a must if you’re commuting to work. It’s super smooth and basically don’t notice things that would stop you in your tracks on a longboard wheel. Feels like I Snowboard to work. Money well spent. Oh and it legitimately goes up ridiculous hills. Haven’t tried a big hill for a long period of time but my drive is steep as hell and it gets me up.”
