“I’m on the heavier side of riders, around 260 lb and this thing is awesome, top speed is just as expected, around 26 mph, and I get a range going from full to empty around 15 miles on the AT wheels. I can only imagine how far it could go for an average rider weight. I could even commute to school with this board despite living pretty far from campus!”

Unfortunately the cheap flawed potentially lethal cash truck components Evolve fitted to my new board despite having since superseded these trucks with forged components is very disappointing.
I nearly died when my king pin pivot deformed from impact with a street pothole at top speed chasing my front truck to spin 90degrees and catapult me in the blink of an eye.
I've been skating street and park since I was 6 im now 44 and I've never broken a truck or had a king pin pivot come away from the baseplate.
Im a duel trade Mechanic and as of 2013 a fluid dynamics Mechanical engineer specialising in reliability of Mobile mining plant.
I believe Evolve has broken every ethic in safety by passing on old stock with potential fatigue issues inherent with cast metal components to new customers without disclosure.
Not only disappointed but nursing a broken shoulder and skin grafts as a result.
All that satisfaction and joy dissolved by shit cast trucks. Shame shame shame Evolve.
At least issue a recall or bulletin to your customers disclosing how shit the cast truck king pins are compared to your new ones available forged as rotate spares.
Not legal jargon you've added in your concern for legal liability in event of future consumer law suits from injury incurred using your boards.
Rider beware but snapped front truck at 40km common that's just bullshit you could have spared me.
Don't worry im humble and have integrity and im not the seeing kinda guy I accept rider beware and at my own risk, so im taking it on the chin both literally and actually.
Sort it out and your product is 10/10 leave it ignore your learnings from RND done post to present and you will be a world leading manufacturer because unlike say Ford motor company and others alike who sold products with potentially lethal flaws and knew about it chose to do nothing and people died.
Make the right choice and set Evolve apart from the others only driven to profit and own your issues fix them in interest of safety and ethics and you will soar with a clear conscience.
Notify and withdraw these cast trucks and don't sell them on new boards its just nasty.”

First of all, we are very sorry to hear about your incident and we wish you the speediest recovery.
Our trucks are forged, with CNC finishing and all GTRs come standard with them. Whilst our board are built to be durable and tested as such, unfortunately, there are always variables at play. An impact at such speed can transmit a great deal of force into the components. We always recommend not to ride faster than you are comfortable with.

I'm a heavier rider so the Carbon was the best option for me over the Bamboo. It's super stable at speed, as well as responsive when turning/carving. I'm 6ft8in and 130kg, so I don't get the advertised range and speed, but the performance is still great. I'll easily cruise at 15mph, but maybe post-lockdown I can hit the gym and unlock even better performance. I recently did a 9 mile ride around the Stratford Olympic Park, taking in hills and carving all over, it only took me down 25% of the battery. Range isn't much of a concern!
I bought the Street Conversion Kit too which is a great addition. It's easy to switch between both setups, though I did have a little trouble with the street wheels at first. I contacted Evolve and almost immediately got a response from Mat in the London HQ, who kindly allowed me to swing by and see where I was going wrong through the window of the shop so as not to break Covid protocols. Basically don't be afraid to give them a knock to get them into place! Service from Evolve has been great so far and I look forward to groups rides with the team in the future.”
