I ordered this for my v12. Just like what everyone said the fan is loud but (for me) the true purpose of this charger is on long rides outdoors and i'll just leave indoor charging for the stock charger. I'm just not sure if it really balances all the batteries in each pack because once it hit 100% while doing 2A (actually 1.9A) and turned green the fan just stopped.”
“I haven't used it yet, but it seems good. I only wish it had an option to go up to "9". It can only go up to "8" to charge. I heard it makes a big difference on rides when you're charging. I found a competing store that sells the same type of charger for the same price, and you can up it to 9.”
“These finally shipped! I bought this for a speedy charge solution for my InMotion V12 when on the go. it's a chunky boy, coming in at 1544g. The OEM V12 charger is 936g. It takes up 1474 cc. The OEM V12 charger takes up 1049 cc. That's a 65% increase in weight with a 40% increase in size.
It's loud. The fan is audible at every charging level. All that active cooling hardware generates more noise and adds weight.
I like the power meter, which provides real time voltage, current, power, amp hours, and watt hours.
I think overnight charging will still be handled by the OEM charger which is silent but this is a good option if you're on the go and need 4x the charging speed.”
“This is a super high speed charger. It can easily charge my RS in a few hours. The ability to choose my charging rate and percentage of charge is fantastic. Easy plug and play usabilty and very robust construction. The removal of one star is due to the fan which is fairly loud. I'm pretty sensitive to noise, but this one is annoyingly loud if you are near the wheel while it is charging. I charge in my office while I'm working and it is definitely distracting while on zoom calls or meeting with people. It's tolerable, just not preferable. I'd still buy it again tough. It's the best charger I've used.”
