“I've had my new e-twow gt 2020 for about three weeks, and it's awesome! I ride it nearly every day to/from my children's school for either drop-off or pick-up and to the parks/soccer fields for their soccer practices, and it is so nice not having to wait for the NYC city buses anymore! It's much more convenient.....plus, it's really fun!
My top qualities for a scooter were portability & ease of (un)folding, ease of maintenance, quality, safety, and power/speed, and the e-twow gt 2020 has all of them in spades. It's very easy and fast to take onto buses and subways, and then it gets me to where I need to go quickly and safely. My runner-up choice was the Inokim Light, but I ultimately went with the e-twow gt 2020 because I did not want to run the risk of getting any flat tires (ever!), mainly knowing that since I'm not a handy person that a flat would probably put my scooter out of commission for weeks as I tried to handle and fix it. In the end, I might have given up a little extra ride comfort (air tires) and extra safety (dual drum brakes) of the Inokim, but I gained long-term peace of mind (no flats), easier maintenance (no checking/pumping tire pressures), and faster (un)folding (spring-loaded handlebars) of the e-twow.
I love my e-twow gt 2020, and just wish that I had purchased it sooner!!”
“The product itself is a solid scooter and I'll say you get what you pay for. While the GT 2020 was on the higher end of my price range, the increased power and portability were personally worth it (the 26lb weight enough was surprising, couldn't imagine getting a 30lb+ scooter). I've ridden a little over 10 miles so far so I can't speak to its longevity just yet, but it feels like a good sturdy ride and handles well.
Pros: weight/portability, speed, climbing power.
Cons: somewhat slender deck (can't stand feet side by side, but I assume this lends to the lesser overall weight), some of the cables running along the scooter could have been better secured, and a cable on the handbrake for the rear drum looks to be exposed where it meets the handle (unsure if that's a problem). Also, the placement of the kickstand could have been better as the scooter in folded position rests on the larger piece of the kickstand and the scooter tilts the opposite way slightly (unsure how kickstand frame will last over time)
Overall the issues I feel are nitpicking (small design flaws), but the scooter itself feels like good quality.”
