“Now with almost 3000 miles. I have given this EX.N a beating or two. It still performs like new. I switched to the Kenda340A because I ride almost entirely on road and wow it is so smooth. The range on this wheel is not overstated. I credit the upgraded batteries featured by eWheels. I am ~200lbs and at cruising speeds (18-25mph) I have hit 100 miles on a single charge.”
“My experience with Ewheels was such a good experience. I was frustrated at first but after speaking with Alexis my issues was resolved and was so quick. Ive been in the customer service industry my whole life and she is so understanding and easy to communicate with!”
“My only complaint is the telescoping handle used for walking alongside the EUC does not reach high enough for tall people such as myself. It gets stuck in the “up” position and has to be hammered back down when not in use.”
“The HT variant was my second Ewheel after picking up an MTen 460ah. With this wheel being so heavy, if you haven't looked at the weight already, this thing is HEAVY like 78lbs. BUT, it should be heavy, it has massive range and Torque to match. I cracked my case the first time I took it out. I knew this was a possibility after watching/reading so many reviews about the RS/EXN case. So, I won't fault the product or the excellent service provided by Ewheels for my own impatience and stupidity. :P
Living in a area where rain is frequent and unexpected, I'm scared to take this out past 10 or so miles because I won't ride this in anything but light rain until I take it apart and line all the seals with silicone. I actually cracked the case two or three times with the last being the worst and me needing to reinforce the case with hard plastic and duct tape. Once I replace the case and place silicone seals, this Ewheel should be good for the rain.
Strongly recommend riding with lots of bumper pads and power pads.
The stock knobby (HT) tires offer excellent straight line acceleration and off road grip. But, the low speed turning and stability leave much to be desired. More than line likely switching to a Michelin pilot or similar street tire once stock knobbies are looking baldish.
Riding Characteristics for me seem a bit different than others:
Three beeps at 30mph
Hard riding @ 170lbs ~ 70mi range
darkness bot predicted mileage @ 100% battery ~ 120+mi
I hope all this information was helpful for anyone looking this BEAST”
“This was my first wheel, and the one I learned to ride on. Within 2 weeks I went from barely being able to start moving on it to hopping up and down curbs, climbing loose-packed dirt holes, and taking it up to its max speed of 40+ mph (HT version). Confidence-inspiring to say the least.
Pros: Plentiful torque, great acceleration, decent cruising speed, good range (40+ miles from 100%-0%) and BT speaker to jam out to your tunes with!
Cons: The screen on the wheel is unreadable while riding and is totally pointless, a lot of the plastic on it is cheap and breaks easily, no suspension, it is heavy due to the 2700Wh of battery needed for the long range capability.
Overall, a solid wheel. I do wish I had bought the HS version because my primary intention with it is to commute to work and I'm a speed junkie. But, the HS version was backordered at the time and this was the next best thing in my book. It'll get the job done until I can get my hands on the Master, and even then I'm going to keep this wheel as a backup. It's a fun wheel to bring to friend gatherings because it doubles as a portable stereo.
Would recommend.”
“Not sure why I’ve seen anything negative at all online as far as reviews go about this wheel, wow high torque is an understatement lol… you might as well have rocket boosters on all the way from dead stop up to 40mph pretty much haha… but really I’m enjoying this wheel a lot as I am the type that likes to just accelerate as fast as possible up to around 30-40mph and this wheel is perfect for that style of riding bcuz this torque motor is extremely powerful! I find myself usually backing off before I even get to top speed (I’ve been 45 mph and rode the beeps as well lol)… highly recommend for the whiskey throttle crowd lol”
“So far iv had issues with voltage reading ... low current stability ... and even motor cutoff at low speeds. It has a ton of power ... the hills here are pretty wild.. and it deals with them well.
The speakers are not bad ... and the buzzer is easy to hear... but iv had an issue with speaker "whine" when the motor draws too much power. "Shrug"
My first Hollow Motor... and its pretty loud. The gap between the motor and the casing is pretty tight .. but iv already had issues with small rocks getting stuck and not being able to get out easily.
I have the MSP and had nothing but issues with that before it was disconntinued.. hopefully, I can get this one stable and work well.
Bit of caution.
PS. Gotway Issue, not a ewheels issue.”
