Sturdy, rugged, tough, ugly. And after 70 miles (so far) this wheel is even uglier due to numerous crashes. But in that I find a kind of beauty that appeals to me. Anyway, I have learned how to ride an electric unicycle. Im not saying I know how to ride it well but I know how to ride it. And I'm getting better every day. I chose the MCM5V2 primarily because of the reviews from around the world which are overwhelmingly positive. And true. This wheel has met my expectations and I have learned basic skills needed for street and trail riding. In one or two years i will probably move to something like a T4 but will always have this wheel as a more than adequate backup. In closing I would like emphasize the importance of safety gear ESPECIALLY for beginners. And in particular shin guard's! When I was starting out on this wheel and fell off of it, this thing will spin around like a spinning ginsu knife and take out your shins I have bruises and cuts to prove it. Protect yourself...or it will bite you. You have been warned.

The exterior of the unit is a little chunky and plasticine but holding up decently to a few low-speed drops, though my calves are too large to even think about using the included pads. The pedals don't hold in stowed position well. It climbs like a champ, despite me being near the upper weight range. It may not be the best starter wheel (for me) due to the speed-to-size ratio and the poor surface conditions in my area, but I'm apparently a fast learner and enjoying it thoroughly despite all the bruises. Overall it seems a solid entry point into the world of EUCs.

This version 2 is so much better than the original. The original was way WAY too sensitive and flighty, and minimal ground clearance. This new one with the wider tire and revised firmware/motor is much more tractable, and starts to feel like a bigger MTen3. The height increase is a tremendous fix to the original. The only con so far is that the pedals don't fold in as flat any longer. imho, the 16" Tesla still reigns supreme for general purpose short range usage. But I can recommend the revised MCM5 now, it's a great 14" wheel.

Nimble and powerful- loads of fun! I like to turn and love how maneuverable the MCM5 is. I don't plan on riding faster than 20 mph, so this is plenty fast enough for me.

Great wheel right out of the box. This wheel was purchased for a quick trip I’m taking. I love my RS HS, however the MCM5v2 is easier around hotels. As always, a big thank you to eWheels for making this purchase happen, and on time!!

Best EUC for my commute! Lightweight, high torque, and long-range for an electric vehicle its size. Perfect for my needs, I'll ride between 10-15 miles per day in NYC. Highly recommended this wheel for riders who need portability, power, and range. Perfect Wheel to get to work!

This is my first wheel. So far I have put ~250miles in the first month. A fantastic little beast. I just bought a second wheel, but I find myself coming back to this one, ever after a long ride - just to wrap up the day. Its so nimble. The motor is very torquey and responsive. The case is definitely cheap, but you are paying for raw performance in a package, and it delivers.

I've only had the MCM5 V2 for a short while, but thus far, I'm very pleased with it. I've ridded the MTEN (too squirrely), the RS19 (BIG) and a KS16S (nice, but a little slow). The MCM5 is stable and I haven't experienced any shimmy. It seems to take bumps as well as the Kingsong 16S and it's zippier. There's a little pedal dip when turning, but the pedal clearance is good and I haven't had any pedal scrape. If you're not planning really long trips and don't need to go super fast, this is a good choice. It's not too heavy, it's nimble, but still stable and it's quick. I've purchased . . . more than one wheel from ewheels and can honestly say the experience has been great with every one of them.
