“Purchased 800W Motor - 460Wh/84v in April of 2021 and writing review in May of 2023. I have put just about 700 miles on this and the original tire is just now starting to lose its tread and become slick.
This thing is an absolute blast and teaches you good riding habits. If you are looking for your first wheel, I recommend it for athletic people with good balance like myself but since it is so small it is harder to mount/dismount. If you are less athletic then the larger 16-inch "starter" wheels are better at keeping themselves upright with gyroscopic forces from the mass of the wheel. That being said, I learned to ride in less than a week of 15 min daily practice. I can now ride this thing to its limits and will be purchasing a more standard-size wheel this year after 2 years of learning on the Mten3.
I have crashed this a lot and added some foam and velcro to the front to protect the plastic a bit. I have over-torqued the wheel going 25mph+ with less than a full battery and it somersaulted on concrete and held up with a few scratches and cracks in the plastic panel.
This model shines if you are interested in going slow next to someone walking, rollerblading, or riding a pedal bike. I love how controllable and incredibly maneuverable it is at low speeds, it is extremely responsive compared to all the larger wheels. This is great when you know what you are doing, and punishing when you are first starting! This thing is a blast on gravel and flat trails, you can't go over everything, but you can sure twist around rocks and roots with ease.”
“Was torn between getting MCM5 V2 and MTen3 as my first EUC after watching hours of YouTube reviews. Glad I went with MTen3! They said this was a “toy wheel” or something great for children to learn on. This “toy” is an absolute beast if you have never experienced an EUC. Seriously, it is a torque monster that wanted to launch me to outer space the moment I sent foot on it. I could not imagine what the big ones are capable of, this thing is crazy! So much fun, and totally untamed at the moment. Wild, wild wheel this MTen3.
Side note: Jason and Drew at the eWheels team were a pleasure to work with. Answered all of my noob questions and even had excellent advice that was not prefabricated. 100% recommended, will do business again!”
“First EUC and took about half an hour to comfortably ride. Instructions for initial setup are nonexistent and Begode app sucks, but with some internet searches it’s pretty easy to figure out. Should keep me entertained for awhile until I move on to a bigger wheel.”
“I am new so may not be as indepth as a vet rider. I bought it mainly for the size cause it fits in my motorcycle lugague. Its very tricky to learn. Youtubers advise for new riders to get 16 inch wheels. Maybe I should have but the size and price where right. These things are not easy to learn. Which is ok. Instructions where crap and did not help at all. Starting the device whent wrong and there ahould be a part in instructions to let you know for sure its on. I assumed cause the lights where on that start procedure was correct. The part where the wheel self balances actually means its on and the lights dont mean anything. Also the calibration procedure has 0 explanation.I figured it out after 1 day, but a simple sentence could have saved me that headache. My battery didnt explode yet so heres hoping it never does. I would like to see a bms on it or some type of antblowing up feature in the future. I am happy with my purchase. Just hope to save some future beginer purchaser some time and frustration.”
“I weigh 190lbs on a good day and was a bit worried that the Mten3 would have issues supporting my weight. I purchased the 460WH battery option and after a couple of days of adapting to the wheel, I can say that this wheel is an absolute blast to ride. It's a completely different experience from my main, faster wheel; my Nikola+. It has enough power to let me comfortably cruise along the road and the size and portability is a much-desired trait I had missed. This wheel would be a great addition to anyone with a larger wheel as a secondary unicycle.”
