So this is my first electric scooter purchase, and I had originally bought the new Ninebot MAX G2 from Segway. After reading tons of reviews of how the scooter was overheating on hills, I decided to return it. With more research, I landed on the Inmotion Climber which looked like the perfect first time scooter. It has dual 750W motors so you get serious power on tap, but you also have 3 riding modes to help control the power. Hill climbs on this thing are AMAZING, it climbs and climbs with no end in sight (I weigh 185 lbs). I haven't rode the scooter for a full charge, but from what I have ridden it looks like it will go roughly 20 miles on a single charge which is plenty for me. With how awesome the scooter is, there are some minor things I'd like to see addressed in the future. The app, at least for me, does not show the ability to change the brake regen power which I saw was an option on other YouTube reviews. I also don't understand how the cruise control works. I have it turned on in the app but if I hold a speed for over 10 seconds it doesn't seem to turn on cruise control. The rear brake is quite squealy, but that may just be how it is since it's new and over more usage will break in. Overall if you're looking at purchasing this scooter, definitely pull the trigger. This scooter is soo much fun and it has the necessary features that are needed without breaking the bank. Lastly shout out to Jason over at eWheels who gave me the best customer experience I've had is quite some time. Thanks for the super quick responses and seamless ordering/shipping process!

The Climber is an excellent commuter for someone who is looking for a powerful scooter that is still portable. Coming from the Unagi Model One Classic, I didn't want anything which had slower acceleration or hill climbing - so this ruled out the commonly recommended Ninebot Max. The Niu KQi3 max was another contender, but given that it was the same weight as the Climber, I decided to go for the dual motor option (as I am ~200 lbs with my backpack). The Climber's acceleration and hill climbing abilities are superb, and actually too fast for me at full throttle on S mode. The build quality seems great as the frame is very solid. I had a couple of minor issues with a slightly bent brake disc and a malfunctioning charger that wouldn't charge to 100%, but eWheels sorted me out on both very quickly. I was most concerned about the tubed tires, but I haven't had any issues with them so far and they maintain pressure quite well. I generally try to stay focused while riding and only use paved roads or bike lanes, and avoid running over too much debris on the road. The folding mechanism is very easy to use, and I haven't had any issues with the latch accidentally disengaging while carrying the scooter. I'd say that this scooter is probably at the edge of my limit for what I consider to be portable as I have to navigate some tight corners and stairs, but I am glad it is much lighter than most dual motor scooters on the market. Ride quality of course is much better than the Unagi. I would love to see Inmotion add some suspension while keeping the weight around 50 lbs, but it's probably not possible unless they switch to something like carbon fiber or magnesium for the body. In terms of the app, I'd like to see Inmotion add more features and allow users to set top speed limits for each mode. For example, I don't feel safe riding faster than 18-20 mph, and would like to be able to set this as the max speed for S mode rather than controlling it via the thumb throttle. Right now, there is only a single setting to limit speed to 15 mph. It would also be great if we could control the maximum battery charge level in the app.

This was my first purchase from eWheels and boy am I impressed... NOT only did I get a fantastic scooter, but also 1000/10 service from Jason. The scooter is superb! It eats Seattle's hills and sh!Tty roads for breakfast... No regrets. I have a Mantis King GT and a Dualtron Thunder, and I was looking for something to commute to and from work with and to get less dirty looks on bike paths (I also got my Segway max stolen from me on my university campus, had to fill the void somehow). My absolute favorite part of the scooter would have to be the trigger-style bell that is SO much satisfying to ring when passing cyclists. I am extremely pleased with this purchase. If you're on the fence of getting one, JUST DO IT! You will not be disappointed.

After using the Climber for a week, my first impressions are really good! The unboxing experience was great and felt a lot like the Ninebot or Niu scooters I have owned. Everything was packaged really well and much better than most scooters I have purchased, including Dualtrons. The build quality feels very high on initial impressions and again, a lot like the Ninebot Max and the Niu Max I've owned. It is very quite in operation which I love and you can immediately feel the power of the dual motors which is a huge step up from the aforementioned scooters. I weigh 205 lbs and it got me up to just under 24 mph which is perfect because I don't ride with any safety gear on. Due to the dual motors it didn't have any problem getting me up even steep hills here in San Diego which is something a lot of single motor scooters cannot achieve. I really feel like for the price, performance, build quality, and the portable of this scooter, it is close to perfect! Super happy I took a chance at ordering this before I read or saw any reviews.
