“I’ve ridden a couple of EUCs but never became proficient at the tight, quick maneuvers. As we used to say in the motorcycle world, “Anyone can go fast in the straights.” At 69 years of age, I resigned myself to the fact that an eScooter may be more practical for commuting the 7 miles to the gym and other short trips. After doing some research, I settled on the Inmotion L9. Because of my son’s and my great experience with eWheels, I bought it through them. It’s been great.
Almost no learning curve; I took it to the gym the second day I owned it. Never did get there on my MCM5v2 even after weeks of practice and easy rides of up to 5 miles. Between the latest firmware upgrade (over the air, simple) and finally trying out “Sport” mode, it goes as fast as I need to go. The quality of construction inspires confidence that it will be a reliable ride. I look forward to every ride.”
“Really great for the price, high quality that is expected from inmotion, only part of the l9 that I feel isn't up to inmotion's name is the bell ( I can't call it a horn) but hey it is an amazing machine.”
“Positive: I have Inmotion L9 for few months and drove more than 300 miles on it. It is very well made product, solid as a tank. Very quite, zero noise from the motor or other components. Good suspension. This is my fourth scooter and build quality is better than Xiaomi Mi. Size is great. At 200lbp I can go at ~22 mph (I was never able to hit promised 25mph), until batter will go to about 50%. GREAT headlight, no need for extra. Negative: Battery indicator is useless, four bars (out of 5!) mean... ~40% battery left. As far as distance, I can do maybe 20 miles on it. My wife more :). Had to walk my scooter home first time ever due to terrible battery gauge... Bluetooth connection is OKish, it have difficulty with connection most of the time. No, firmware update up to date. Break handle should be angled down. Throttle is not responsive, it is "zero or max" very hard/impossible to keep desired speed (tried to calibrate it, but no difference). Overall: Good scooter, but with those few small fixes it could be literally perfect. Perfect commuter. Nice, side lights at night.”
“This thing is a beast, it goes super fast uphills all the time. I’m 6’1, 200 pounds and I can ride around for hours. I’m at 650 miles and no issues at all. It’s sturdy and strong. The tires are great, the lights are outstanding. The only drawbacks are no real room in the handlebars for anything, for example a cell phone holder (we tried but it’s not functional) and the app doesn’t work well at all with connecting to the scooter.
Another highlight is the scooter box was very large it still fit in my small car. They even cut down the box which ended up saving me approx $100, we even had correspondence about it on a Monday morning before 8am! The most amazing thing was how fast the scooter came (6 business days to Canada) we were so impressed that we ended up buying another one! Highly recommend making your purchase from this company.”
“I got the Inmotion L9 for the wife last year to ride together with my son and I. We are on wheels and she had hard time keeping up on a bicycle. We usually had to keep the ride slower and shorter. Since we got the L9, the family group ride has become way more enjoyable.
L9's performance is very good for our purpose, and I am saying that as a rider used to ride Dualtron 3. The special high speed version that ewheels offer is fast enough for us in the bike path and trails. The torque is more then enough to quickly get up and go. In fact, she prefer the slow start mode on L9 most of the time so she doesn't have to hold on to the handle bar super tight.
Another reason I opted L9 is the build quality. I've had many scooters from low end to high performance. I'd say L9 is one the best as far as fit and finish, screen, throttle, and weather resistance. With the dual suspension, good app integration, and the range it offers, I don't hesitate to recommend the L9 to anyone looking for a great all around scooter.”
“I purchased the L9 for my daughter. I own a Turbo wheel Lightning and Lightning +. I wanted to get my daughter something a little more refined and I decided on the L9.
The scooter is VERY well built. Quality, fit and finish is what you would expect from Inmotion. The handle bar height is a little tall for her but works fine and she'll have a scooter to grow into. The screen has all the info you need , including battery, riding mode etc. The headlight is perfect for night rides (no need for additional lights). It also has lighting underneath that indicate turn direction.
Performance on this wheel is not extreme. But that was actually one of the reason it was the right choice for me. My daughter has cruised around 20+ mph with me no problem and the scooter still pulls. As for range......it has plenty. Infact we haven't scratched the surface yet and we've been on plenty of 20+ mile rides.
Tires seem great for on and off road but nothing extreme. Suspension works as advertised and eats up bumps and pot holes.
If your looking for a city or trail cruiser then I highly recommend the L9. Again, this is not an extreme machine but it's great at what it does.
Side note: this is a push to start scooter. Meaning you have to push off with your feet before the motor engages.
The only con i have is charge time is a little slow but who thinks about that when buzzing down the road at 20+? hehe
Thanks Ewheels!”
