“PROS:
Power is good.
Range is good.
Light is amazing.
Suspension is comfortable.
CONS:
The body battery is so close of tire/wheel aluminum.
Less than 7 days, my V11 wheel is bent. No recommended if you want jump up on a little steps.
The new V11 is super heavy.”
“A great ride! The reason for the one star off is the difficulties around doing basic maintenance. You can't work on the suspension without significant effort put into the screws, and there is a connection cable that creates a real weak point on the handle when you remove it. Additionally, of the four screws located right above the wheel, two could have been moved up a centimeter to allow room for the tool to turn.
Finally, instructions on how to keep the suspension correctly placed after being worked on would be supremely helpful.”
“It’s definitely not as quick and nimble as my GotWay Tesla, I get the same feeling as when I switch cars, from Tesla 3 to a big gasoline SUV, takes a while to accelerate, but it’s a very comfy ride.
My first time riding V11, I almost fell forward when I tried to quickly accelerate and taking sharp turns at higher speeds was a lot harder.”
“I have been riding a Kingsong 16s for the last 18 months and graduated to this machine. I can't really give a good review since the wheel has only 100 miles on it vs the 5K miles I have on the 16s. I am surprised that I have to learn how to ride all over again. As usual, the learning curve is steep (I think) . I don't want to go on group rides until I figure this wheel out. The pedals are a lot higher than the 16s so my hop ons are a very sketchy. I am also worried about damaging the air shock valves on the bottom of the machine, I am keeping the red caps in place. but If I damage them, I will send the wheel in for repair. i will not work on the wheel myself because that is beyond my comfort level. In the end, I believe this will be a good wheel and I am looking forward to many hours of fun. One more thing: Riding this wheel is a lot easier on the knees. The town I live in has really crappy roads. This wheel reduces the road stress. I still have to look out for potholes, but going over bumps, especially when they are unexpected, is a lot better then a non suspension wheel.”
“If you're on the fence about spending the money to buy it, don't be. This thing is so smooth and refined its not even comparable to other models. It's in its own class and is an amazing all around EUC. The only thing I don't like about it is its weight (this thing is heavy) but once you're moving that weighted feeling disappears. I have no regrets!”
“Love my V11 but that is not what I am reviewing. A wheel is only as good as it's support. eWheels gives great advice to those of us new to the sport, they have excellent customer service. My V11 had a problem about 140 miles into ownership and I could not be happier with how I was treated by eWheels. I am so unused to being treated this way by any company! Fantastic. If you are going to invest in something so complicated and expensive you need the proper support, get your wheel from eWheels.”
“This is my third wheel I purchased from Ewheels. As usual, the Ewheels team was extremely responsive to all the questions I had about this wheel.
As far as the wheel goes, it definitely feels next-gen. The fit and finish is way above the competitors. The suspension really is a game-changer. I have about 7k miles of riding experience and the transition to suspension was seamless. Suspension makes everything easier and more enjoyable. As awesome as the new Gotway and Veteran models are, I can't see myself buying another wheel without suspension.
IMO this wheel is EXCELLENT value at its current price”
“This wheel is so smooth and comfortable. I'm a bit worried that this will spoil me on all non-suspension wheels from now on.
I'm a 230 lbs rider geared up. I put 140lbs in the lower shock, and 70 in the negative chamber, and run the tire at 40 lbs to keep the wheel responsive and efficient. These settings are extremely comfortable. I took a 30 mile ride over paved trails the day I got it. These trails can be a bit punishing on my KS 18XL due to the tree roots, dips, and small pot holes. The V11 just glides over all of these obstacles. Awesome.
The headlight on the V11 is the first one I've seen which I'd call acceptable. The beam pattern is nice out to the sides and points down low to avoid blinding oncoming trail users. Great!
Overall, with ~70 miles on the clock, I'm super happy with this wheel so far.
Thanks!”
