“Got the V8f about a month or so ago. The wheel had a glitch, but really good quick customer service took care of it. This thing has a learning curve for sure. Getting on, staying up was sort of quick, turns took more time, now I'm on to speed. I've got about 40 miles on it in a nice long parking lot, with a lot of bumps and cracks ( you need to get used to that for road riding I think). I can just about hit 15mph before I freak out. I was worried I'd want a faster wheel when I ordered this one, but I think the 20 ish mph top speed should hold me for a while. The more you ride, the better it gets. Worth every penny spent”
“My first EUC. Great wheel for beginners to intermediate. This wheel is very nimble, but stable. It can turn quickly, and is light enough to easily load in your car or carry upstairs. The front light is great for evening rides before sunset, and it is almost silent while riding. It is at a perfect cost break point for new riders that are unsure if they will like the sport (you will!), before spending another $500 for the next higher model. I wish it had a brake light like the V10, but the extra 19 pounds of the V10 and marginally better performance did not justify the extra cost. Do not under estimate the convenience of the light weight of the V8f while learning, it is a huge benefit! Each time you step off while learning you pick up the wheel, and this wheel is no problem. Thanks to ewheels for pointing me to this EUC! The perfect wheel to start on, and to progress to skills like riding over curbs, going backwards and riding with one foot.”
“Finally took the plunge and bought a wheel. Spent hours and hours digging through YouTube and forums before picking one, and the names "Jason" and "eWheels" popped up all the time, and in a good way. Ordered a V8f from them, it was shipped quick and as advertised. In the process of learning how to ride, somehow the axel broke ( based on the vids and forums, I've only found one other case of this, so it's nothing that stands out as common, just a perfect fall over or something). Emailed the company, got an immediate response, tried what they suggested from my description. The suggestions didn't solve it, so I received a shipping label, sent it off, and it was repaired and shipped back to me the same day it was received. It's good to know that if you end up getting the oddball in the batch, it's taken care of crazy quick. I'm sure I'll outgrow the euc sometime in the near future, and I'm sure I know who I'm buying the next one from.”
“Great first EUC, not too big or small. Smooth and almost glides. Tire is narrow but seems sufficient for a first time EUC. Phone app interface isn’t the greatest but works. Set up was fine and quality is very good and looks sharp! After numerous spills still performed well until today. Tipped it over and it didn’t auto-shutoff like it usually does and had to make a grab for the power button. It restarted fine but after about 15ft it got horrible shudders and violent jerks and began saying‘repair required’ all the while shuddering away violently. Finally was able to power down (or it did) and we limped sadly home together. Going to get in touch with Jason at eWheels for help.”
“My V8F is my favorite wheel. After I bought it, I immediately bought a V11, so I could teach people on the V8F. This wheel really is the best size to train people on. You can beat it up and it still keeps going! I even fully submerged it in a puddle.
At the end, I wish I had just bought two V8F's instead of the V11... go with the V8F size... you won't regret it!”
“Just sold my V8 with 350 miles on it. Now going through withdrawal. I can tell you the V8 is a great beginner wheel. Very pleased with it. Even at age 53, after the first 100 miles and as I got more proficient, it left me wanting for more speed. My abilities surpassed the wheel. Hence, why I sold it. I am anxiously awaiting the V12 arrival. Inmotion creates a great product. I never had any issues with my V8. Can’t express how much I enjoyed it. Looking forward to their next advancement.”
“My 2nd wheel, but I'm still pretty new at riding electric unicycles. For my level of riding, on our relatively level streets and riding paths, it has plenty of power, speed, and range. Seems very reliable and has predictable operation. I'm 58 yrs old, so probably not as good at balance as the average wheel rider, but I'm loving this thing.”
