“Build quality is awesome. I already have a Gotway ACM, but KS16X is next level compared to it. The larger size, pedals and tire makes for a different experience compared to the ACM. I find myself having to practice more with the KS16X because the experience is so widely different. I guess it’s the large CST tire, but the KS16X seems to do what it wants to and that is stay up straight. It seems to fight my inputs a lot more that ACM does. I’m still getting used to it but I’m enjoying the experience, I definitely got the right wheel to propel my 215 lb frame with relative ease.”
“This is my first EUC, but I love it. I was a bit wary of spending so much for my first EUC, but I picked it up in a couple of hours and I'm glad I bought the 16x. Its a great learner, its very agile at low speeds and the features make it a really good commuter. The automatic lights, the speakers, the trolley handle, and the cutoff all make this the perfect vehicle.
As for performance, I have not unlocked the top speed yet of 31mph but I'm glad that this wheel can go that fast because I'm going 25mph and wanting just a bit more. I think buying a beginner wheel can be awesome but for some people, you'll hit that top speed easily in the first month of riding and you'll want to upgrade. I think with the 16x, I won't be wanting an upgrade for a long time.
Lastly, the rapid charger is a must. But if you don't want to buy it, the 16x now comes with a 2.5amp charger which isn't bad.”
“Really cool so far, only gripe is that the mudflap ripped off super easily after only a couple soft falls in the grass. Other than that, the ks16x feels really solid.”
“Received my KS16x from EWheels about a month ago.. I Initially put down money on a pre-order for another wheel and changed my mind.. I am bringing this up just to show how awesome E-wheels customer and sales support is. They switched my order for me, and within 5 days had my new 16x.
I am really enjoying this wheel quite a bit. It is a blast to ride, surprisingly nimble for its size and weight, and the range is really second to none.
There are a lot of mixed reviews out there for this wheel.. I have a feeling they are coming from people with a very specific need for speed.. If you are looking for the fastest wheel out there, this one is probably not for you.. Look at one of the larger 18in or 20+ inch wheels that are made for speed. That being said, this wheel is indeed fast.. So gear up and be safe!
As a general all-a-rounder wheel.. I honestly am not sure if there is a better one out there.. I live in NYC and can go anywhere with this thing.. It has plenty of power and speed for what i need, eats potholes for breakfast, and so far has not let me down after almost 300 miles so far.
Be sure to dial in your tire pressure.. The change in ride dynamics are pretty big depending on tire pressure.. There is no right or wrong setup, but find the one that works for you.. Don't ignore trying different tire pressures.. This really helped me get comfortable and stable on this wheel!”
“Received my King Song 16x on June 1st and have already put 160 miles on it in under a week. This wheel is amazing. Everything I was looking for as an upgrade to my King Song 16S. It is nothing less than a beast when it comes to off-roading and hill climbing. Nice to have the larger battery as well, not needing to charge it everyday for my commute will help with longevity. I'm 6'2" 230lbs and this wheel is more than capable. The 3" wide tire really helps with stability and dampening road roughness.”
“Ewheels is the best; fast shipping and helpful instructions. The 16x is my second EUC and I'm in love. The wider wheel feels more stable and the power delivery is smooth and easy to manage. Only had the 16x about a week now and I've gone around 15 miles and feel super comfortable and ready for streets.”
“Love love love this wheel - I use it for commuting so this is the perfect balance of speed, distance, and portability (best trolley handle in the business) - can easily transition from riding to trolley...great for going inside locations for meetings or errands.”
