“This was my first device recommended by eWheels and I have to say Im glad I made this choice. Its fun to ride and feels stable. Great wheel and great service.”
“Outstanding product. Quality is evident right out of the box. Excellent fit and finish, beautiful design. It was a difficult choice between KingSong and competitors (Gotway, specifically), but I ultimately chose KingSong based on their strong reputation for safety and reliability.
This was my first EUC; I’d never set foot on one prior to pulling this out of the box. It is relatively large as EUC’s go and fairly heavy as well at a bit over 50 lbs, so it took some time to learn how to control it. I watched several tutorial videos on YouTube and after about 2 hours of trial and error, something suddenly “clicked” in my brain and I was able to ride figure eights with little effort! Over the next two days I logged 25 miles over a combination of gravel, paved roads and even some grass, and the 18XL handled all with ease. An incredibly rewarding and thrilling experience. I read several reviews that suggested beginners should start with something smaller and easier to control, but don’t let that influence you. I’m proof that a newbie can learn to ride on these advanced wheels.
I’d also highly recommend purchasing the protective neoprene cover, especially if you’re new to EUC’s. I also purchased and highly recommend the eWheels rapid charger; an incredibly nice upgrade over the stock charger.”
“Just like most people on the forum agree, the King Song 18XL is a high quality, refined wheel that is smooth, quiet, powerful, agile and stable. It does many things so well. Compared to the other wheels, this one seems to have nothing that bothers me. In the EUC world, this one seems to quietly and reliably go about its business seemingly unnoticed, when it is one of the best. It may be because it has the 2.5 inch tire when the popular size now is 3 inches. I'm a big guy and find the tire size more than adequate for most situations. If I could only have one wheel, this would be the one!”
“This thing is a unit! My first wheel was an InMotion V8 that I rode for a year before deciding to upgrade to the King Song 18XL. The increased speed, range, and power have all made for an amazing riding experience. The KS 18XL takes a bit more effort to turn than the smaller V8, but it is still very agile despite being a much larger wheel. However, you will feel the extra weight when lifting it off the ground. If you're a smaller rider or looking for a last mile commuting solution, then you should probably check out some slimmer and lighter EUCs that will be easier to lift and transport. This wheel was designed with long range cruising in mind. I went with the KS 18XL over flagship models from other manufacturers due to it having the best combination of power and practicality. This thing can go anywhere, whether you're riding or walking. I have yet to find a hill it can't climb and King Song's best in class trolley handle allows you to walk around with minimal effort when you'd rather be on your feet. When you also factor in unique features like the large peddles, lift sensor, mudflap, brake light, quiet motor, and more speed than you'll probably ever need, you've got one of the best wheels in the game.”
“Wheel arrived in perfect condition and fast. The wheel came with firmware 2.0 and the upgraded motor. It is considerably wide compared to the Inmotion V10. It is very comfortable riding at an average speed of 15 mph. So far, a full charge at 84.4V has lasted 40 miles with 75V remaining at an average speed of 12 mph. The wheel is quite heavy. The lift sensor is responsive and turns off the motor quick. This is a good forever wheel for the moment if speed isn't a factor.”
