This is the first scooter I've owned that is actual QUALITY. It's built like a tank while being just light enough for the average person to carry up a flight or two of stairs. This is also the first scooter I've purchased which came ready to ride right out of the box, no adjustments needed. It's a low maintenance, very well built scooter with a great ride quality and ALOT of power. If you are looking for something to commute on and keep up with traffic but don't want to shell out much more than $1k, this is going to be the best all-around value. Would highly recommend if you are looking to upgrade from your crappy budget Xiaomi/Segways - as I did.

I have been riding this scooter for about 9 months now and it has been excellent! Having moved to downtown Denver, CO from rural Dallas, TX my wife and I decided to get rid of one car and I now use this as my daily commuter. About 3 miles round-trip to work, I'll still drive on snowier days, but overall the Speedway 3 has been an ideal solution. Coming up soon on a year of ownership, I'll likely need to replace the brake-pads soon and I'm interested in upgrading the battery to the 1331 as I'd like to extend my range. Overall a great purchase, and Jason at eWheels has been great to deal with throughout. Highly recommended!

I did A LOT of research before purchasing the Speedway III. Went back and forth between the 4 mini and this one. After talking with some of the reps and guys at the shop they recommended to go with the III. Pay a couple hundo more - you'll be happy you did - you plan on keeping this a few years right?! Easier to maintain, comfort, reliability, and great ride. I'm 6ft, 155 lbs and get this up to 28-30 mph. I got the fast-charge battery since they recommend charging up to 80% to have it last a lot longer. After about 8 months of owning it everything still felt like new with the exception that the braking levers seemed like I had to pull them way back to get more responsive braking. I just use this on the weekends and short trips around town. I emailed Jason and he emailed me instructions on a super easy adjustment I did in 5 minutes - back to normal! These guys know their stuff and customer service is top notch! I wanted to buy a fun get-up-and-go that was WAY better than the limes and birds of the world (they feel like kid toys compared to this). People still stop and ask me about it because it definitely looks way nicer than the street e-scooters. I also wanted to buy from a place that has good reputation, great customer service and techs, and something that had a warranty in place. This checks all the boxes. If you look on ebay and overseas - there are like a million parts for this thing and a lot of other e-scooters are based off this - consider it the "honda civic" of the e-scooter world. That means you can enjoy this for years to come with support and parts up the yin-yang. I bought a folding U lock (100 on amazon). It works great and just attaches to the frame. The light is just ok - get a high powered bike light like the cat eye volt 800 if you need more visibility. Horn is a bit annoying but its there if needed. This thing is super fun and reliable and folds up easily in the trunk if needed. Just get it - if you go cheaper you may regret it later. Happy Riding

I ride my Speedway III every to work and back. It’s speedy and stands up well to the streets. It’s by far the best way for me to get around town. And I only need to charge it every few days. Highly recommended.

I've been waiting a bit before writing this review. I wanted to really get some experience with my Speedway III first so I could present a balanced and fair appraisal. I've now owned it over a month and have ridden it 100 miles. This is my first scooter. Before this it was all Limes and Birds and Skips. I live in Portland OR In a nutshell, so far I really love this scooter. Its really close to 5 stars- for me its more about things I wish they'd left off the scooter than complaints about the scooter per sé. First thing I gotta say- when I bought the scooter I bought it thinking I'd be able to do pretty close to 30mph and it'd have a range of 30 miles. I quickly discovered something: you can go fast (I got it to 28 mph) or you can go far (for me about 26-27 miles best case scenario) but you can't do both. also, I weigh 180lbs and the quoted specs are for a 150lb rider so that decreases it a bit. I also quickly found that if I limited the top speed to 20mph and cruised at 15-17 which is plenty, my range increased. It doesn't love hills and upslopes will use battery faster. I also have found that the regenerative braking is a little counter productive. The scooter rides much freer with it off and I think the motor is under less of a load. I'm still experimenting with this. But generally speaking I've been satisfied with the performance of the battery and the motor. The best thing about the scooter by far is the ride. The build quality is very good. I love the size and weight of the deck. The front suspension and 10" tires give a great ride and ive gone over some big bumps easily. It feels very solid and balanced . It has great traction and It has a nice low center of gravity and real nice balance. the brakes are nice and smooth and strong. I feel they've gotten better the more I've used them. I do also like the controller and throttle setup. it took a bit of experimenting but I have it set to how I like to ride and its nice to have options. Also-It locks easily and securely to bike racks which has been nice. Compared to the Yugo rental scooters we had here in Portland this summer, this baby is a Cadillac! Things I don't like and wish they would take off: the headlight is lame. weak and not useful. My strap on bike light is 10x better and doesn't use any battery. and the horn and turn signals are a joke. I wish they'd left all this crap and the control buttons off the scooter completely. (I do, however, like the brake light setup!). And as I said above- I'm really starting to wonder about the regenerative braking. It doesn't seem to really extend battery life and the scooter rides so much nicer with it off. They could have simplified the scooter and put the money toward bigger motor or more battery. But again- over all I really like the SWIII a lot so far. Its gonna be hard to keep it inside all winter. can't wait til the spring when I can really get one use out of it!
