“I had to wait until I hit 50 miles on my new Thunderwheel Lightning + to put down a review. The scooter is a an all-round mean machine, solid and reliable. I'll wait until I've done 200 miles before I can give a comprehensive battery review but so far so good. Definitely get the fast charger. Jason, Marc & the entire ewheels team were very helpful in helping me navigate all options even as I continued to bombard them with numerous questions. If you're looking for an excellent scooter and the perfect team behind your back, then the Lighting+ is the one to get and Ewheels is the place to get it from. Now to get a seat for this mean machine before I fall on my ass”
“I gave this scooter a review 2 stars yesterday because I couldn't figure out how to access the program mode but after playing with it for a while , I figured it out, you half to turn on the key , press the power on for 3 seconds, then press the power & mode button together. I have not ridden it yet because it's to cold here in Iowa but, I have it elevated on a stand and making sure everything works , and it does. I can tell this e scooter is put together with hi quality and this guy Jason that answers your emails ,always gets right back to you with any questions that I had ! He was very helpful If you plan to store this scooter for a few months, it is best to keep the battery charged at about 40% according to google they dont tell you that in the instructions, it's am amazing product!”
“Only ridden about 3hrs; all trail or dirt road in gear 1. Power is impressive on slopes. No problem with vegetation wrapping so far. A couple of spills, both downhill with front wheel catching or whipping sideways. I am concerned about the durability of the handlebar connection; clamps have to be extremely tight. Machine is quiet and ride is comfortable on moderate terrain. In short, all grins and one sore shin on day one.”
“This this is a BEAST! I absolutely love it! The wheels are large and it is tall enough to handle the NYC roads with ease. It is well built and feels sturdy while riding. The delivery was quick. The customer service has been AWESOME! The only reason that I didn’t give this a five star rating is because the advertisements say the scooter can approach 40mph. I am 5’9” weigh 173lbs and even with the scooter fully charged in turbo mode with both motors engaged I can only get it up to 29mph! That’s disappointing to me. Other that that 10mph expectation the scooter is amazing. I have been telling my friends to get this scooter if they were thinking about buying one. Great purchase!”
“My new TurboWheel Lightning arrived in perfect condition. I charged the battery for 7.5 hours to fully charge it up (I didn't buy the fast charger) and have been using this as my commute vehicle in San Francisco every day since. I ride it about 6 miles each way and at work I take it up the elevator to my 38th floor office. This scooter blows away any bicycles, electric skateboards or other scooters. The ride is great and the suspension is smooth on the bumpy roads. It crosses RR tracks with no problem. I have yet to take it above Mode 2 because that has more power than I can handle! It is hard to get above 30MPH on the streets of SF with all the traffic and stop lights. I love the dual disk brakes and I use them heavily on the steep streets. This scooter has reduced my commute time in half from the MUNI train and lots more fun! The throttle is sensitive and you have to ease it on... if you give it immediate full power, you will fly right off it! Super well built! I expect this scooter to last a long time! I have never ridden a scooter before buying this and it is not just for young adults... I'm 55 and loving it!”
