“Ok, this scooter is in another league compared to the smaller wheel models. The sheer acceleration is unreal even at faster speeds, the stability as unbelievable, the range is seriously impressive, and the build quality is superb! Thus is NOT a scooter for feeble unexperienced people or kids! Very fast and cappable performance at any moment! This machine is very much worth the investment in my opinion. This machine is rock solid and not easily transportable because of its size and weight. It is a serious power cruiser with outstanding handling and "superb"brakes. No disappointments when you take delivery! 5 stars from us! Thanks Ewheels”
“This Scooter is much bigger than I thought. I'm used to my Boosted Rev. and the wheel on the Phaeton is much larger and square and I'll have to get used to riding it as it feels it wants to straighten itself out. It's super heavy and not as easy to drag in elevators if you plan to commute to work and take with you inside. I also don't like the kick stand and its location and a little notch protruding from it always gets me on the ankle when I'm walking it in and out while opening doors. Lastly, it's noisier than my Rev and the electric break on Rev is a lot better. But overall, I'm happy as the shocks are superb for bad city asphalt and you really stand tall on this thing. Grab a lot of attention and is a nice ride on the street. Just starts to get into the small motorcycle size limitations. I'm afraid for my city use it's a little less practical than something smaller. Lots of acceleration though! I haven't yet tried the higher speeds. It's plenty fast for my use right now!”
“Super Helpful folks over at Ewheels! I purchased the top of the line ewheels turbowheel Phaeton and it is a magnificent beast!! With a maximum speed of 60mph and dual motors, I have the power at my fingertips to take off like a rocket at a moments notice or just cruise along at a pleasant 20 or 30 mph with ease. Its a beautiful scooter as well....if Ferrari made scooters....this one would be it. Disc brakes on front and rear tires....headlight...brake lights...awesome tires and suspention....if you want a premium scooter....the Phaeton is the way to go and ewheels is the place to get it!! I would also recommend getting a seat add on for it for when you just want to relax and ride. Thanks again guys, you rock!!”
“Just got this beast! I have been riding the Turbowheel Lightning Plus for a few months now, and having so much fun, that i my girlfriend is now riding that one, and i am riding the new Phaeton. It's amazing how much power this thing has!!”
“Attention this is not a toy I do not recommend this for a first time scooter owner and power mode one and eco-this unit will still do close to 30 miles an hour I absolutely love it.”
“I'm new to electric scooters, so I have limited experience comparing to other electric scooters. However, I do have two electric skateboards and one electric mountain board. This scooter is just awesome. After a couple of hours of getting aquainted with the way it rides, my timidity has changed to careful satisfaction. I haven't gone full speed on it, but starting at such low speeds to get accustomed to it, I'm getting better and more accustomed to the way the trigger works, the way the tires and suspension works with the pavement. It's a beast on two wheels. Kind of feels like learning to ride a motorcycle again. All jittery and nervous, but slowly increasing the speed and feeling the turns.
The included dampener has be installed, but I didn't find any instructions. The allen screw that connects to the red board mount for the dampener, does not fit without loosening the red dampener mount and then once you get the allen screw in there, you are unable to use an allen driver to tighten the screw. I had to user needle nose pliers to hold the allen screw in place, while using a nut driver to tighten the ohlins dampener in place. I think its a mere oversight by the manufacturer. Works great once installed and don't forget to adjust for full turning radius. My dampener was not adjusted properly out of the box to allow me the full turning radius to the left. Easy fix though.
Wire management. Wire management is good, but you may need to use zip ties to help keep the excess close to the handle bars. I noticed that the wires are getting pinched near the dampener otherwise if not adjusted for slack to be kept at the top near the handlebars.
Dash settings are easily adjusted for miles and I noticed the default settings for the tire was at 10. These are 11 inch tires. That may give you the incorrect speedo info if you leave it at the default settings.
Overall I am very pleased with the scooter and would recommend to people that like a challenge, like speed and do not necessarily need a portable scooter.
The handle bars do fold, but the sheer weight of the scooter deters any thought of easily placing in vehicle, moving it upstairs even moving it over one little 6 inch hump.”
