“As 1st time e-mobilty consumer I can say setup was simple, charging simple. Tires etc. one will want to ensure are optimum before 1st ride (large difference out-of-box between front/back tire pressures).
Performance of the scooter is of course kinda shocking relative to typical retail e-gadget. A decent traveler over light terrain like lawns etc. Like a bicycle lots of little tweaks optimize it like adjusting the brake disc (cool brakes at this pricepoint), how one sets up the accessories on handlebars, etc. Lights-on it's a little Las Vegas.
Also worth noting scooter seems to be different spec than what's on eWheels, but in a good way.
First off, it weighs 24kg (not 24lbs as it says on product page; 52lbs is listed on comparison sheet and is correct). 2nd of all on comparison sheet it says 52v battery (hence implied 52v motor), but mine is 59.x volts (rounded up = 60v) and I suspect the motor is too? Either way it goes faster than I dare, the Mode 1 is a perfect "Hello World" on the thing if you've never ridden something like it before.
Overall a great introduction to the serious side of e-mobility.”
“Overall a high quality scooter with plenty of range and speed. Handles hills without problems.
The brakes are a little noisy, and needed some adjustment out of the box.
The scooter shipped fast, but the packaging it came in could have been better.”
“This thing is very powerful and I love the feature with the lights. I was riding this thing around 10 PM last night and it was like my entire scooter was glowing in the dark. People could see me from a far distance and I got it up to 32 miles an hour. I weigh just over 200 pounds.”
“So far so good. Loving the freaking speed and I'm a big guy at 6ft 254 pound weight lifter, and this damn scooter is fast and very well built. Definitely recommend it!!!!”
“Scooter seems great. Only feature it's missing, for me, is some kind of security - a thumbprint scanner would be nice, or a key. But it's not a huge deal. The moving parts seem a little stiff (like folding, for example), but that may lessen with time. The speed and power are definitely sufficient for me, the scooter goes up hills at a good speed with no assistance. I couldn't find an allen wrench in the box, which was required to tighten up the brakes and throttle, so that would be a nice inclusion. The scooter is a little heavy for me (about 50 pounds), but getting it up and down stairs is ultimately doable. Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase.”
