“I held off writing a review until I feel I put some good usage on it. Well today I hit 200miles. I can easily say this scooter is great. With its suspension, front pneumatic tire it provides a stable smooth ride (would be smoother if I wasn’t pushing the weight limit) and 23mph max speed is a good safe speed for beginners and those wanting to stay safe. (I hit 28mph going downhill today and honestly it was a bit scary even for a 34 year old wearing a full face helmet).
I get approx 18mi range as I only ride at max speed, decent hills in my area and my weight but a fellow rider I know stated he was able to get closer to 30mi on 2nd gear (19mph) and low weight (130lbs).
I don’t currently have it but I plan on buying the quick charger as it will take 4-6hrs to charge this scooter to 100%”
“I bought this to replace my Segway Ninebot ES2. For the same price as the ES4, it is faster, lasts longer, has better breaks, and is much more solidly built. My only regret is that I didn't do more research and get the Turbowheels Swift as my first scooter. Everything about the swift feels safe and reliable.”
“Sweet suspension, excellent braking, great speed and range for $800. I also have the ninebot e4+, and for basically the same price, it’s not even close.
My only (minor) inconvenience is the folding handle, which tends to loosen slightly after 10-20 miles of riding. Not unsafe, and just cranking it back down fixes the issue. I put some plumbers silicone tape on the threads, and it seems to be holding much better.
All in all, though, this is arguably the best scooter under $1000.”
“Overall great scooter, It's lots of fun and feels solid, like it will last. I bought it because I want something reliable, and I love the solid back tire because it wont ever go flat(would also consider getting a front one). This is the only scooter model I've ever owned so take that into consideration with my minor complains, which are:
1) I wish there was less play in the handle/forks. The handlebar will rock back and forth a bit, a few cm's or so. I wish there were a way to lock it in TIGHT. The rentals I see on the street here have the TurboWheel Swift beat in this regard.
2) I do not understand why e-scooters aren't built with a similar throttle to motorbikes/50cc scotters. After a week of riding(with trigger throttle) I am developing what is called "trigger finger". It's a repetitive stress issue, and it's frustrating because I want to be on this scooter as much as I can. Perhaps I can use winter to heal up my tendons.
3) Cruise control is tough to get used to, but it's much better than nothing. A "resume" option as a button would make all the difference.
4) When I ride straight, the handlebars are offset a little, a common bike issue, but I don't know how to fix this with the Swift.
Again, it's a great machine so far, I hope it holds up but have no reason to think it won't at this point.”
