“The Veteran Sherman is like if aliens studied humanity and made thier own wheel in an attempt to communicate with us. This wheel contains all the requisite pieces to surpass every advanced level wheel to baller level, like you're not even prepared for the level of baller you will be elevated to.”
“This review comes after 3.5 hours, 4 days, 20.5 miles and a single battery bar off the Sherman's power meter. I have never even laid a finger on an EUC in my life, but figured that I didn't want to spend $1500 on a "learning wheel" and after mastering it in about 2 weeks I would never ride it again or end up selling it for a huge loss. Nope, go straight for the Ferarri and learn to control it as I go. With the aforementioned stats and never previously touching a wheel in my life, I am pleasantly surprised at how quickly I learned. I went on a 6 mile and 8 mile ride over the past two days and did very well. At this time point I haven't hit the ground yet, although I did have a couple jump-offs where I ran off of it, but didn't fall. The Sherman proceeded to dump on it's side without damage less a couple scratches on the roll bar. Now, I am 48 years old and 265 pounds; not your typical athlete or stereotypical EUC rider. However, I have downhill skied since I was 12 years old, I do seem to have a naturally great sense of balance, I became quite proficient on rollerblades when in my teens and have dabbled around with a Segway in the past. The first 45 minutes or so was pretty tough learning the EUC, but then suddenly, it just clicked. I do firmly believe that if you aren't crashing, then you ain't learning. But, I'm not exactly a spring chicken anymore, but I'm thrilled at my progress so far.
The point I'm trying to make is that it's perfectly doable learning on a wheel like this if you don't want to first spend a lot of money on an 'easier' wheel. The Sherman is a great wheel and I wouldn't change it for anything at this point in time. The entire thing has just been a great process; dealing with eWheels, learning to ride and the overall makeup of the Sherman.
As I have only had the Sherman less than a week I can't fairly rate it yet. But, it's looking extremely well so far. Thank you again Jason and the rest of the eWheels team for such an easy process.”
“Maiden run today. Just getting the feel for this awesome wheel. 17.1 miles just warming up electronics and tire. I did receive the knobby tire. I guess I am one of the lucky ones. It is unfortunate that some were shipped with road tires. Not E wheels fault. In the emails they said they were shipped with knobby tires. This is why you order from a reputable dealer. E wheels will do anything and everything to make good. Happy riding!!!”
“This things amazing my first Euc ever and anyone who tells you it’s not for beginners don’t believe them. It’s such a stable wheel with great balance. It took 2-4 hours to fully understand how to ride it where I could go around the block. The next day was even better I was riding all over my neighborhood it felt so natural.
Just take your time get used to it you’ll love It.
This wheel is definitely for everyone.
The free wrist guards are amazing Too they’re less bulky than my gloves so I’ve been using them. Plus the endless customization I’ve seen people doing on this wheel made me wrap mine and I love it. Getting Clark pads v2 because stock ones were just too slick.
If you have the money pull the trigger you won’t regret.”
“So far the veteran has been a blast to learn on. I'm sure it will take me awhile to reach its potential and become bored. It's tons of fun but maybe not the best wheel to learn on simply because of its weight. On the other hand this thing has taken a beating with only a few scratches to prove it. I will probably be buying one of the roll cages to replace my scratched one when I feel more confident.”
