Delivery I had the scooter overnighted because, well, I just can't wait. It showed up the fowling day around 2pm with Fedex. A word of warning, it’s heavy, really heavy, too heavy for the female driver who did not even have a dolly to put it on. She said that she had advised her manager that if I were not at home she would be taking it back to the local hub. So just be aware of that, no matter who you order from. I’d have been pissed if my scooter was not with me after paying the overnight fee. Packaging The packaging was great, no complaints. There was some damage to the box on one side, but because the box was so sturdy, it had only pierced the outer layer. Inside the box the packaging was also great, a good use of styrofoam and all the parts that could be susceptible to be scratched were covered. Getting the scooter out of the box was way easier than I thought given the weight. I am by no means a strong person, but I just grabbed the back handle and low down on the front stem and pulled it on out. Very easy and I was surprised I did not have to cut the box open to get it out. Setup Setup was a breeze. I mean, what setup? You lock the stem into place, lock the handlebars into place and that’s it! That’s really it. I checked all the hex nuts at the places I thought I needed to, so connections and load baring points and that was it. The scooter came pretty much fully charged; the battery bar was fully green. First Ride I rode the scooter for 17 miles this evening after just a couple of miles yesterday. The thing is a beast. It drags my 230lbs up inclines at 20-25 mph. I used 2nd gear as I got more used to it and it's not as scary as I thought it would be. You feel in total control at all times. The initial torque does get you initially, it's like being kicked in the face and it makes your heart skip a beat, but you get used to it. the run signals are a stroke of genius and make a huge difference to how traffic reacts to you, I am so glad the scooter has turn signals. What Could Be Better? The horn is ok, not the greatest, but way better than a bell. The thing I think needs the most improvement is the LCD display. It's just not bright enough, even at full brightness. It needs to be way brighter, not sure If you can do anything about that. If you know a fix let me know. The kick stand is beefy. Once down the scooter is not going anywhere. Its rock solid. I do have some noise coming from the rotors, I am hoping as it beds in that will go. After my 17 miles today, it definitely sounds better. I do find myself having my feed on the charging ports, I don’t think I am standing in the optimal position, so this may improve. If anyone has any ideas on an alternate port cover that would be great because I think I will break them. A harder plastic cover or even a metal one would be great. I wish the lights would come on when you turn the scooter on instead of having to turn them on my long pressing the +key. Maybe there is a setting I can change? I also find the brakes a bit weird when you are going fast, you tap the brakes and there is a jolt initially as you slow down. I wonder if there is a setting for that? Conclusion & Rating So after a couple of days that’s my initial newbie thoughts. All in all I would give this scooter a 9/10 and eWheels a 10/10.
