“I had high hopes for this product, however unfortunately it has really let me down. I’ve been using an oil based pre shave oil and thought to try this considering I’ve really enjoyed other ESC products, despite knowing this was actually a concentrated soap and not an oil, I figured it wouldn’t be an issue, but it was. This really dries out my skin and I had a terrible time using it as the blade really tugged on the hairs, also even after the first pass of shaving with the grain I was already feeling the burn, which already let me know this wasn’t for me. I’m quite disappointed now because I’m stuck with 150ml of a product that doesn’t work for me and wish I got a replacement for my citrus kiss aftershave instead, which I’ve absolutely loved.”
Hi Anur, thanks for your review - sorry to hear that the pre shave oil isn't meeting your expectations. We find this works best when you wash your face and apply a little into a lather and apply to your wet face. Your shaving lather should then be applied on top of this. “This is the best pre shave I have found to date! I shave my head as well as beard and one pump covers both beautifully. I lather up directly over the oil and it doesn't matter if I'm using a OneBlade or some conventional razor, I always get better results. I love this stuff!”
