“This is the second one of these I purchased (both from Executive Shaving). The first one I purchased back in 2019 was for my Rex Ambassador.
The second one I purchased was for the Rex Konsul. Unfortunately, Executive Shaving did not have the Rex Konsul and the stand in stock at the same time, so I purchased the stand, in preparation for when the Rex Konsul arrives back in stock, as I am planning on getting the Rex Konsul when I can.
The first thing I will say about this stand is the weight and the size. There is no chance whatsoever that you would be able to accidentally knock your Rex razor over while it's on this stand. The first one of these stands I purchased back in 2019 is still like new and really there is nothing that can really go wrong with it, as it's a solid piece of heavy stainless steel. Just make sure you do not drop this stand in your sink, as the sink will definitely lose!
The stand is modelled on the adjustment dial that the Rex razor uses and features the knurling that's on the adjustment dial too. This is such a fantastic design idea and is a perfect stand to both complement and match the beautiful Rex razor.
Inside the box, is the little screw pin, this simply screws into the stand base (by hand) and you are then able to stand your Rex razor on it. The handle on the Rex razor is hollow and has a hole at the bottom of the handle. You then just place the Rex razor over the stainless steel pin and this then holds the razor upright, and very safe with no chance of the razor toppling over.
The stand is admittedly pricey, but the Rex stand is machined by hand from a billet of stainless steel and because of this, the time to manufacture, materials and craftsmanship all need to be paid for. But for me, the stand is worth the money, it looks stunning and oozes quality and craftsmanship, just like the Rex razors do!
Well, that's about all I can say, apart from, if you get the Rex Ambassador, Rex Konsul or Rex Envoy and need a stand, then this stand should be at the top of your list.”
