“So happy we found this tour company. Our guide Azzurra met my husband and I promptly at our hotel and explained how the tour would unfold (a helpful refresher, since I had booked the tour months before and certainly didn’t remember all the details!). With Azzurra’s storytelling the long art-filled halls of the Vatican really came to life, and we found our jaws dropping at every turn. When we return to Rome, we won’t hesitate for a second to plan more tours with Eyes of Rome!”
“During our tour we found out that Eyes of Rome is one of only a handful of agencies that has such early access to the Vatican Museums. We were among the very first visitors of the day, and we had Raphael and Michelangelo practically all to ourselves. Need I say more? ;)”
“This was my second visit to the Vatican. Have you ever seen photos of the mobs of people packed like sardines inside the Sistine Chapel? I was one of those sardines my first visit—and I will never do that again! This early access visit is the ONLY way to go. No crowds, no distractions. You get to enjoy the museums as they are meant to be enjoyed. And with a guide like Stefania, we felt like we were spending the morning with an old friend.”
“This tour is worth every penny! I know waking up before dawn while on vacation doesn’t sound very appealing, but visiting the Vatican Museums without the crowds is truly a magical experience. You won’t regret it.”
“long overdue review. a friend of mine recommended alessia rinaldi so we booked a vatican tour. eyesofrome recommended we tried the early morning prime tour to beat the crowds. we ended up visiting the museum virtually empty. alessia was full of interesting information never boring. we truly enjoyed her company. gratzie milli!”
“Going on the prime morning tour was the best decision ever!!!
Even though it was early in the morning, there was already a slight line, but in 5 minutes we were already in :)
Our guide Katie was just fabulous, extremely knowledgeable, kind and informative...we couldn't ask for more!
First, we walked through the Vatican Galleries, a real treasure!
You cannot miss the Gallery of the Maps, with its impressive paintings on the walls depicting Italy as it was in the past.
Once in the Sistine Chapel, we enjoyed the amazing Michelangelo's frescos far from the crowds and luckily, even in the Basilica, there were not many people.
The Museums host a vast collection, and for sure, when back in town, we will certainly book another Vatican tour with Eyes of Rome, and of course, asking for Katie as our guide!”
“This review is long overdue. Serena gave us a super early morning prime tour last October. we understand now italy is going through some harsh moment because ove the coronavirus situation. We send all our love from Bali”
“we are not sure if it was because of the coronavirus infection or because of the early morning tour, but L I T E R A L L Y it was us and maybe 10 other people in the sistine chapl. WHAT A VIEW!”
