Out of the 6 tours I booked with Eyes of Rome (see also my review of the Borghese Gallery in Rome), this was one of our favorites. Pompeii was just as we had expected – an incredible window into the ancient Roman world. Our guide really brought it all to life and made sure we saw all the highlights without overwhelming us. Our second stop was a gorgeous vineyard in the shadows of Vesuvius for lunch. Our hosts were gracious and passionate about their wines, and the pairings were spot on. It was truly the perfect day!”
