The MO Loft bed is designed to be a multi-use bed unit for small bedrooms. It is a loft bed, a study desk and also a shelving unit. The optional fully detachable bottom bunk and pull-out bed with three pull-out drawers provide extra space and comfort when guests come for a short stay.

“We bought a MO Loft Bed combo with the bottom bed and stair. I have much the same feedback as one of the previous reviews. I love the design and the versatility of the combo, which helps us make good use of the space we have. The materials are good quality and great for matching a modern interior design. Unfortunately, this good product design was let down by the execution when it comes to instructions, parts and the difficult assembly experience overall. Some of the problems we had: When we unboxed the parts, many pieces had scratches and stains which didn't always come out. They weren't a deal breaker but more care should be taken in the warehouse and delivery. Worth noting that the warranty explicitly doesn't cover these issues. The instructions supplied (both printed and digital) seemed to be out of date compared to the parts, and because the numbers on the parts didn't match what was in the instructions, it was hard to check if all parts were received, and even harder to put them together. We needed to constantly guess if we were doing it right, and compare to the illustrations which also weren't accurate in many cases. The number of screws, bolts, nuts, etc. also didn't match the instructions, and though it's always nice to have spares, in this case it just added to the overall confusion. For the bottom bed, the mushroom head bolts supplied extended out too wide, meaning the bottom bed wouldn't fit under the loft bed, making the bed almost useless for our needs. I had to go out and buy countersunk bolts from a specialty supplier, and drill the hole to make it a bit wider in order to make the bolts sit flush with the frame to fix this problem. Lastly, we struggled to insert the sliding desk assembly into place and get the sliding desk to go in all the way. The sliding mechanism was very finnicky to insert and really needed more than two people to get right. As it stands, we'll need to take it out again and try to work out why the sliding rails aren't closing in all the way. Some of the bearing casings on the rails were bent/damaged in the process of inserting the desk, so we may need to replace them. All in all, it was a frustrating assembly experience that took 2 people nearly 3 days to finish, making us very disappointed in what would have otherwise been a great product.”

“We ordered 2pc Mo loft bed Customer service = Excellent Delivery = Ok, through 3rd party company with tracking. Delivery guys were friendly despite not helping us to move to 2nd floor due to safety concerns (understandable HSE concerns). Quality = Good. The finish is lovely and the construction of the bed is very solid. The holes for the pins seemed too large, and some of the pre-drilled holes weren't centered in some pieces. Assembly = Good if you have a drill and another person to hold the panels. The bed was easy to put together (although sometimes not 100% matching the instructions). Use a drill! I am happy with the result considering the price I paid for great-looking solid furniture. Some room for improvement with quality control and assembly experience.”

“First the good points - the finished product is sturdy and the kid loves it. Arrived earlier than expected, no damage. Bad points; Emailed instructions do not match instructions in the box. I had printed the emailed one on large paper to make easier, only to discover part way through that they're different. Numbering stickers on parts do not match numbering in either manual so you have look at each part to work it out. Lots of parts have a "16" sticker No indication on the five boxes about which parts are in which box, so you have to open them all at once Some of the female threaded fastening elements in the panels were missing, some in the wrong side of the panel. Need to go to Bunning to get bolts. Pre-drilled holes mostly too large - screws spin without properly tightening. Back panel of shelves is 5mm too short, so there's a gap No one manufactures an inner-spring mattress to suit the required height - you're stuck with foam or adding a safety rail to the top. The step order is not ideal sometimes - build a structure, then put little feet under it. There appear to be running changes in the design that are not documented, so you have to second-guess every step - you don't know whether you're reading it wrong, or if it's an error - this extends the build time dramatically. There are a LOT of unused fasteners - they must use the same bag for other products? It weighs 250kg and is delivered on a pallet - you'll need to be home with a helper to unload each box off the pallet unless you have a forklift. Besides fixing the above, I would also suggest adding some provision for getting a power lead through the back/side panels to the desk.”

“I bought MO Loft bed for my nephew as a gift for Xmas and he loves it! The large desk is really useful for studying and the bed is also great for napping or just relaxing. A great gift for someone who needs a little extra space.”
