“I purchased this item without much expectation. This seemed too easy to brighten and exfoliate. I read other reviews which said to cut the pads in half because they are very saturated and work fine in that size. I noticed how smoothly my moisturizer went on and my face felt so baby soft. Also non irritating to my usually sensitive skin.”
“I have been using this product for months now - usually 3-5 times a week. I used to use a .5 retinol but I much prefer these! They are very effective but gentle enough that you don't have to worry about extreme redness or flaking skin, as you do with a lot of retinols. And one peel pad goes a long way - I always use it on my neck and chest too. Keeps my skin glowing!”
“These are incredible. I have sensitive combo skin. The first time I used one of these pads, my face turned bright red- I freaked out! It went away after 45 minutes, but it obviously concerned me (I looked like Samantha from SATC when she did that chemical peel and had to wear a veil lol.) Two days later, I thought about how my face didn't sting/hurt- it simply turned red. I thought, "Well, maybe it was supposed to do that?" I tried it again. Again, my face turned kind of patchy red, but not as bad as the first time. It went away more quickly also. By the 4th/5th time I used a pad, my face did not get red *at all*. I don't know the science behind this, but it's just like my skin got used to it? I persisted because my skin looked smooth and radiant from the first few uses, and it took a surprisingly short amount of time to significantly revamp my skin texture. As a close guy friend said to me after a month or two, "I don't know WHAT you are doing for your skin, but you look like a million bucks."
At this point, I use them every single night with no problems/reactions.
HOT TIP I borrowed from a previous reviewer: they cut the pads in half! You don't need the whole thing. I'll take that tip even further: I cut each one into quarters. That means this little pot of pads (which I turn into 200 mini pads) will last me the better part of a year!
