Private Pilot Licence Series Volume 2 - Air Law and Operational Procedures integrates the necessary theoretical knowledge with the practical aspects of air law and RT, and is designed to be used alongside the other books in the PPL series. Written by an experienced aviation author and JAA Flight Instructor (FI), and overseen by an editorial team of career flying instructors and Air Traffic Controllers, this is a book designed to make to subject matter as simple and accessible as possible. Each chapter deals with its subject in a logical and practical way, and ends with a series of revision questions to aid the learning process. Illustrated throughout with photographs, diagrams and drawings (many in full colour), this is the most up-to-date work on air law and RT and is the only book to fully cover the JAR air law and operational procedures syllabus. It is also the only book of its type to correctly define the differing privileges between the UK CAA and JAR licences and to cover the recent changes to RT procedures. Overview of the full course The PPL Course Series In its original edition, first published in 1994, the PPL course series quickly became standard issue at the majority of flying schools and clubs training for CAA courses. Their accuracy, clarity and user-friendly approach was widely acclaimed and their fresh and modern approach to their subject matter made them a favourite amongst student pilots and instructors alike. Now being published in their second edition, specifically re-written to reflect the JAR syllabus, the PPL Course Series continues to be the most up-to-date series available and is now the only set of publications that completely and accurately cover the JAA PPL course syllabus. Furthermore, AFE follow a publishing policy of restricting the print run of each book to the minimum commercially viable, meaning that amendments and updates can be incorporated into reprints as quickly as possible, rather than waiting up to a couple of years to publish new information. Moreover, this is the only series written by a JAR Flight Instructor (FI), which is why more and more FTOs are changing over to the PPL Courses series. . Comment: PILOT Magazine "In contrast to most other books on Air Law, this volume has most pages that would otherwise be dull-looking solid text broken up by useful, clearly drawn diagrams or photographs Some of the subject matter included here I have not seen referred to in any detail in other Air Law textbooks Since questions on these subjects do appear in the examinations it is helpful to see them included The radio telephony section follows the same format: concise text, well illustrated and comprehensive cover of the subjects involved, with the occasional light-hearted leavening." Private Pilot Licence Series Volume 2 - Air Law and Operational Procedures integrates the necessary theoretical knowledge with the practical aspects of air law and RT, and is designed to be used alongside the other books in the PPL series.
