My kids love to paint, and we do often use "real" paint. But that requires a lot of time for set up and clean up. This is quick and easy, and my kids still really enjoy it!

We got this for my 7 year old son- you barely get the brush wet and then paint on the paper surface. As the water dries, the image disappears. He loves practicing Chinese characters on it and it works just as promised. It is perfect for him! My only caveat would be don't buy this for a younger or more careless child- the paper is definitely delicate and you have to be careful not to saturate it!

My 5 and 7 year old granddaughters loved the set. Would have rated even higher if it had option of buying a container to store and transport items. No containers at my art and craft stores fit.

I ordered this as a gift for my 15-year-old niece, and it drew so much attention from all other family members that I was wishing I had orderd a dozen or so, and quit shopping! This product offers a creative outlet and a Zen-style relaxation break at the same time.

It comes with a sheet of Japanese Kanji symbols. I was very disappointed to find out that the symbols and their names weren't printed clearly.
