My son used this chopper at his montessori preschool so I bought one for him to use at home. We use it for carrots and bananas.

My 18 month old grandson wants to be involved in all family activities. Cooking is something that happens daily in our households. After researching Montessouri sites for teaching independence, the Wavy Chopper seemed like the perfect tool for our little helper. The handle shape is perfect for his hand to grab. I can put my hand over top of his to help him chop fresh veggies. I'm only letting him use it with close supervision but soon, I'm sure, he'll be a pro! The Wavy Chopper is not dishwasher safe but does clean up easily. I like the plastic blade protector for storage.

Our 2.5 year old loves this. She calls it her bumpy knife and loves "making dinnerutter cutting thick potatoes and carrots easily. She did cut her finger once - its a pretty sharp edge. But we are teaching her to use two hands on the orange part. Definitely would recommend this!

My son has been wanting to help more in the kitchen, especially when he seems my chopping veggies. This is just the right size for his hands, not sharp enough to cut him, and with a bit of effort he will happily chop cheese and banana for his school snack.

I bought this for my 4 year old who wants to help in the kitchen. He loves it and loves getting to help. This is a great tool because he can put both hands on top and it's sharp enough to cut through carrots.

Our 2.5 year old daughter uses the chopper whenever we are cutting or slicing food for meals. She has chopped raw carrots, raw and cooked potatoes, green peppers, raw onion, and boiled eggs. The blade is very sharp, so food is cut on the first try and she does not get frustrated. The handle is well positioned, so she is able to use her body weight for chopping. Everything is great about the chopper, the only thing that surprised me is that the blade is slanted (so one side of the chopper is shorter than the other side). But watching our daughter use the blade, it is actually ergonomic - i.e. she does not have to strain her wrist to chop. It is a great chopper and she loves it.

My 4 year old loves his wavy chopper and uses it frequently. He has actually been helpful in chopping veggies for soup or fruit with breakfast. He is truly excited and proud about how effective he can be with it. It's great.
