This is a great size for little hands and looked to be a very well made product. Unfortunately, it was way to sharp to be safe for a child to use. My husband was able to file it down and now my boys love using it for their snack. I would absolutely not let a young child use this as it is though as even touching the blade could cut.

This product now causes fights in our house my kids love it so much. They are 3 & 5 and it is a regular argument who will chop, with assistance of course, the various vegetables for dinner. Bonus of this product is that my kids eat more veggies now because "they made them".

My 4 year old daughter uses this to cook with me. She used lettuce knife before, but this allows her to cut tougher items (bagels, small carrots, crunchy pizza, etc). Pros: - Good quality product - Cheaper price than other places I check - The edge is not too sharp - you have to push hard for it to cut something. If you have kids who are very gentle, it maybe harder (or a good learning exercise for them). Cons: - Shipping is expensive from the store if you only buy small quantity of items.

My kids love chopping the ends off green beans and other veggies as we prep for dinner. My 3 year old has to push hard to cut with it, but I suppose much sharper and it would risk cutting her fingers. Everyone is certainly happier with choppers of their own to help out.

When I ordered the Wavy Chopper, I thought my four year old daughter might use it to cut things like strawberries and perhaps zucchini. Relatively soft things. But I was wrong . The chopper cuts right through carrots, no problem. My daughter now asks (begs!) to help with preparing dinner, and with the two hands atop the chopper design, I don't have to worry so much about her getting cut or a slipped knife.

I'd been looking in many stores for one of these and finally ordered one for my 2 and a half year old. She has so much fun (and stays busy and happy) helping while I make dinner. It doesn't cut through everything but that's no surprise since it isn't sharp. A very good purchase!
