This ingenious tool not only solves the mess associated with mixing natural peanut butters, it offers the young child an irresistible food preparation activity. After an adult inserts the chrome-plated mixing rod through the ribbed plastic lid and screws it on, children can easily turn the crank themselves (and watch the layers combine), then pull the rod out spotlessly clean.Model 400 Crank Mixer has the same features as models #100 and #300 but has a longer rod to stir natural peanut butter in the 26 oz. jar with an 83 mm. (3-1/4 inches) diameter. A rubbery nitrile gasket cleans the rod and a polypropylene liner keeps everything inside the jar during mixing. Now there's no reason not to enjoy healthier, all-natural nut butters. Fits 26-ounce jars with a 3¼"" diameter mouth. Lid may, or may not, have a pattern printed on it.This mixer fits the following brands:Laura Scudder's®Adam's®Smuckers Natural

This thing is a game changer, folks! Unlike what a previous reviewer said, it fits our TJ's PB jars perfectly. This gizmo makes stirring COMPLETELY mess free. The most amazing thing about it is that the stirrer comes out clean as a whistle because it gets cleaned off when you pull it of the hole. This thing has become a party trick. We show it to all our friends. Seriously! It's just that good.

I bought this for my 33 year-old daughter after I witnessed her asking her husband to stir the peanut butter before he left for work one morning. She and I both hate the job! This wonderful device will be used over and over, and her 19 month-old daughter will soon be able to help!

I bought both of the Peanut Butter Mixer items in the catalog for my 33 year-old daughter. She purchases both large and small jars of peanut and almond butters. I thought she might need both of them. She did!! She was so happy with this gift!

I love this method of mixing my natural peanut butter. It didn't quite get the thickness at the bottom of jar, but was easy to use and took less time than trying to stir in jar or removing jar contents to larger bowl and then returning to jar. I highly recommend this handy tool.

This is decent product for mixing peanut butter, however I didn't like all the little parts involved in the assembly/use and I wanted more speed, so I continued searching... A better option I found that I won't specifically mention by name, but it is basically a lid with a hole in the middle that allows you to attach a single beater through the lid and attach to an electric hand mixer. It is much less of a hassle, faster, and frankly more fun. It can be found on Amazon.

After mixing peanut butter with a fork for years, when I first heard about this gadget I couldn't get ahold of one fast enough. The description on the website said that the lids provided fit Trader Joe's and Laura Scudders and many other brands' containers. Well, neither of the lids fits Trader Joe's 16 oz. container, and although you can hold it down with your hand to stabilize it, the poker that goes down in the peanut butter doesn't mix it adequately, and while you're trying to mix it the oil leaks out and gets all over your hands and everything. Sorry, guys, this is a great idea, but one that definitely needs more work. I will go back to mixing it by hand for the time being, which is much easier and more effective, until you perfect this mixer, and will return the product.
