This ingenious set will not only eliminate the mess associated with mixing natural peanut butters, it offers the young child an irresistible food preparation activity. After an adult inserts the chrome-plated mixing rod through the coated-steel lid and screws it on, children can easily turn the crank themselves (and watch the layers combine), then pull the rod out spotlessly clean.A rubbery nitrile gasket cleans the rod and a polypropylene liner keeps everything inside the jar during mixing. Now there's no reason not to enjoy healthier, all-natural nut butters.Set includes the standard mixing rod, a 3"" lid, and a 2¾"" lid (rod will fit both lids). The two lid sizes are included to fit different 16 oz. brands. This mixer combo set fits the following brands:Trader Joe's®East WindKrema NaturalPresident's Choice®Crazy Richard'sWhole Foods® 365The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg®Laura LynnPeanut Butter & Co.®Wild OatsSmucker's®Laura Scudder's®Adam's®Holsum®Tree of Life®Nature's PromiseTrader Joe's® Almond Butter (in glass jar)

I bought both of the Peanut Butter Mixer items in the catalog for my 33 year-old daughter. She purchases both large and small jars of peanut and almond butters. I thought she might need both of them. She did!! She was so happy with this gift!

This tool makes the job of mixing natural peanut butter MUCH quicker, easier, less messy. We love it.

I love this method of mixing my natural peanut butter. It didn't quite get the thickness at the bottom of jar, but was easy to use and took less time than trying to stir in jar or removing jar contents to larger bowl and then returning to jar. I highly recommend this handy tool.

This is decent product for mixing peanut butter, however I didn't like all the little parts involved in the assembly/use and I wanted more speed, so I continued searching... A better option I found that I won't specifically mention by name, but it is basically a lid with a hole in the middle that allows you to attach a single beater through the lid and attach to an electric hand mixer. It is much less of a hassle, faster, and frankly more fun. It can be found on Amazon.

After mixing peanut butter with a fork for years, when I first heard about this gadget I couldn't get ahold of one fast enough. The description on the website said that the lids provided fit Trader Joe's and Laura Scudders and many other brands' containers. Well, neither of the lids fits Trader Joe's 16 oz. container, and although you can hold it down with your hand to stabilize it, the poker that goes down in the peanut butter doesn't mix it adequately, and while you're trying to mix it the oil leaks out and gets all over your hands and everything. Sorry, guys, this is a great idea, but one that definitely needs more work. I will go back to mixing it by hand for the time being, which is much easier and more effective, until you perfect this mixer, and will return the product.

We eat a lot of peanut butter and bought the 26oz stirrer because we get 2 jars of 26 0z. natural peanut butter from bj's here in plymouth, ma. Probably similar to any costco or other bulk store. The instructions are clear and the lid assembly fit correctly to the size of the jar. I would say to be careful to insert the plastic piece carefully and make sure it is snugged up all the way into the lid. I have only done this once, but there was a little leak problem because the plastic was not inserted all the way up into the lid. The only reason there was a leak was because we tipped the jar on its side as the pkg suggested. This is not necessary. In future stirring, I will make sure it is snug and probably won't tip it. That being said, I was mostly happy with the stirring function; however, it is still not capable of stirring up a big vat of natural peanut butter really well. The saving grace is that it is not all over your counter or hands. If there was a 3 and 1/2 option I would give that.

We just got this item, so I don't know about the longevity of it, but what a fantastic idea. We used to all dread opening a new jar and would put it off hoping someone else would do it because of the mess. I am not one for kitchen gadgets, but this is a great tool for my whole family!
