This ingenious set will not only eliminate the mess associated with mixing natural peanut butters, it offers the young child an irresistible food preparation activity. After an adult inserts the chrome-plated mixing rod through the coated-steel lid and screws it on, children can easily turn the crank themselves (and watch the layers combine), then pull the rod out spotlessly clean.A rubbery nitrile gasket cleans the rod and a polypropylene liner keeps everything inside the jar during mixing. Now there's no reason not to enjoy healthier, all-natural nut butters.Set includes the standard mixing rod, a 3"" lid, and a 2¾"" lid (rod will fit both lids). The two lid sizes are included to fit different 16 oz. brands. This mixer combo set fits the following brands:Trader Joe's®East WindKrema NaturalPresident's Choice®Crazy Richard'sWhole Foods® 365The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg®Laura LynnPeanut Butter & Co.®Wild OatsSmucker's®Laura Scudder's®Adam's®Holsum®Tree of Life®Nature's PromiseTrader Joe's® Almond Butter (in glass jar)

Sadly, the top does not fit all peanut butter jars which makes it difficult to use. More specifically it does not fit the Trader Joe's brand PB which is the only one I buy. I have to firmly grip both the lid and the jar so that I can turn the crank. I still think it is better than using a knife to stir but it is much more awkward than I hoped.

***UPDATE: Please note that we now carry all three lid styles/sizes of the Peanut Butter Mixer. D109 will fit the 16 oz. plastic Trader Joe's Peanut Butter jars. We did not carry this size at the time of this review. Dear Rosa, We are so sorry this did not fit your Trader Joe's jar. The manufacturer offers this item in three different sizes based on the standard millimeter diameter of the lid. We opted to carry the "standard" size and the largest size. 16 oz. jars generally have a 77mm lid. Larger 26 oz. (Costco) jars have an 83mm lid. We tried these mixers with a variety of brands and jars. I thought TJ's was one of the brands/jars that we checked, but it is possible it wasn't. We will look into this and see if we can find a match for that particular jar. We will post a note that this mixer does not fit the Trader Joe's brand 16 oz. jar and hopefully will be able offer an alternative. Meanwhile, we would be more than happy to offer you a refund or an exchange for another item. Please contact Customer Service at 877-975-3003 for assistance. Thank you so much for this valuable feedback. Kristine (Krissy) Beoka Merchandising Manager

You can just leave the special lid on the open peanut butter and keep the crank in a drawer. My kids love pushing the crank in and taking it out clean, like magic. Everybody I know with kids and peanut butter is getting this for Christmas!

You just have to watch the size when purchasing the PB jar, but when you get it right, this is a fantastic and fun tool- no more dripping pb oil and pb all over the place to get to the good stuff. Great as a daily lunch making activity. Kids can stir the pb while you get the rest of the supplies ready- makes for a fun start to lunch or snack
