4.1 Rating 18 Reviews
Read For Small Hands Reviews

This tool has always fascinated young children. In one motion it will core and slice apples or pears. Young children may need a little help to cut their way through an apple, but the results are well worth it.First, pierce the skin by rocking the slicer back and forth. Then, push down to cut into sections. The raised, comfy non-slip handles increase leverage and make this model easy to use. Sturdy plastic frame with stainless steel blades. 7"" x 4ΒΌ"".

It was great for a week or so = sharp and easy to use - then it started falling apart- the blades came out, were hard to put in, and every time we cut an apple now it ends up in three pieces. It's difficult to put back together without cutting yourself. Not good for small hands, an I don't know how to return it.

I was hoping my kids could take over the apple slicing since we seem to go through a peck a week, but it was hard for even me to use, and I still had to get out the paring knife to fully separate the slices and cut out parts of the core. Alas! I'll give it another try but it wasn't the great boost towards apple independence I had hoped for.

This has been a godsend to me as I prepare my daughter's snacks, but she also loves it and wants to use it often. It's a little hard for her to maneuver at this point, but she'll grow into it.

As the description states, kids will need help. It takes a little muscle to push the slicer over an apple. It does leave a little core on the slices, however, it still is a fun gadget.

My daughter was very excited about this apple cutter because she uses one in her Montessori class. I was very excited about it because it saves me some time when packing her lunch. It's well made and comfortable to hold.

This apple slicer is great for young children. The handles allow the child to be very independent while preparing their own snack.
