Read For Small Hands Reviews

Given a properly child-size chopper, children will love preparing ""fancy"" crinkle-cut carrots, cucumbers, or other small vegetables for snack (or soup.) with this handy tool.Using this wood-handled chopper helps children master the same hand positions they'll need to safely use a knife (one hand holding the handle and one hand pushing down on top of the blade). Show your child how to press down steadily, keeping fingers safely away from the blade. 6¾"". Hand wash.

My son uses at school - so we had to get one for home, too! He uses it every day - best kitchen tool!

This chopper is great with celery, however, is hard to get through carrots, and can mush cucumber. My daughter was pretty proud that she was able to chopped veggies for our soup. She needed two hands to get through the celery, so much supervision is needed when chopping.

We bought this and the wavy chopper for our daughter. She is 5 years old and loves to help in the kitchen. She likes both tools but the wavy chopper gets used more by her simply because it's slightly easier for small hands to handle. She can put more body weight pressure on it so that the "knife" goes all the way through the potato, carrot, etc. She still enjoys this vegetable chopper as well, and uses them both often. She loves to help crinkle cut potatoes to make our own french fries.

We order this chopper for all of our Montessori classrooms at LePort Montessori Schools in Orange County (www.leportschools.com). It's a high-quality tool that stands up to intense use by a lot of preschoolers. We order a lot of products from Montessori Services/For Small Hands, and are consistently impressed with the quality of products offered.

We love this new chopper. Even my 3 year old can do it and it makes it much more enticing to eat when they are in such a neat shape.

My 4 year old was looking forward to this chopper as they use one similar to it at school for cheese. It's still a little awkward for him to cut carrots or anything hard (might as well use a knife), but it's so pretty and is an instant classic in the kitchen. He and his little brother will be using it for years!
