Read For Small Hands Reviews

Given a properly child-size chopper, children will love preparing ""fancy"" crinkle-cut carrots, cucumbers, or other small vegetables for snack (or soup.) with this handy tool.Using this wood-handled chopper helps children master the same hand positions they'll need to safely use a knife (one hand holding the handle and one hand pushing down on top of the blade). Show your child how to press down steadily, keeping fingers safely away from the blade. 6¾"". Hand wash.

The metal bar that extends from the handle over the top of the blade is just right for my preschooler to hold onto while cutting fruit or vegetables. It requires more force on a cucumber than the little one can give sometimes, but it made quick work of a peach that was eaten as soon as it was cut.

Kids always want to help make meals. And that's a good thing. We have one for each kid. No one can get cut, but they really do chop.

We got my 4-year-old daughter one each of these and the green-handled wavy chopper for her birthday. I really like the concept that she can practice cutting the way she would with a sharp knife using this one, but the reality is that it takes too much strength to do any hard veggies because she can't lean on this the way she can with the other (with that one she can cut carrots, uncooked squash, etc.). I'm still happy with the purchase, though...as she grows stronger, she will be able to do more with this one.

I bought this after using it at my daughter's school with a group of children and seeing it used far more successfully than regular knives. My two year old son can use it to chop carrots with very little trouble, which I think is quite impressive. The blade is very sturdy and the handle smooth and easy to hold.

This was a big hit with my 4-year-old daughter, who loves to help in the kitchen and wants to be very independent. She can cut hard-boiled eggs, bananas, and other soft veggies and fruit. We have not yet tried to cut anything too hard. She loves being given a task and contributing to meal prep.

This is wonderful for my 4 year to use when we need to chop veggies for dinner. It takes a little bit of strength, but with a little practice its perfect for him to use and he LOVES it!

This is the best kitchen product that I have purchased for my children. My daughter is 4 now and has been using this "knife" since she was 2. She cuts carrots, celery, apples, etc. and will eat anything that she cuts. This product allows her to assist in the kitchen without my having to worry about her little fingers.

Long lasting tool. I have three kids and they all love to use it. Gets them excited about eating what they chop (veggies) too.
