Some reviews here complain about how small these glasses are. I'm glad I ignored these reviews and bought them anyway - these glasses are the perfect size for an infant's first glass, attractive, and as sturdy as glass can be. My baby is delighted to use them. Got these when my son was about 9 months old and though the glasses are small (like oversized shot glasses), they are still big enough that he can wrap both hands around the glass to drink, which gives him better control over the glass. At 13 months, he still usually grasps it with both hands to drink, and we encourage it to prevent spills, though the glasses are light enough and small enough that can use one hand and still have reasonable control over his glass. Another good thing about the small size of these glasses, for babies new to drinking from glasses, is that when baby spills what he's drinking, there isn't as much to spill, so there isn't as much of a mess. Occasionally my son still gets confused and puts the upper rim in his mouth, causing all the liquid in his glass to run down his chin and soak his chest. Other times, he just feels like upending the glass to watch his water spill. Whatever the cause, I'm glad that he doesn't have more than an ounce or two to spill at once! These glasses are glass, and I'm sure they can be broken, but so far they've survived my little guy dropping them on the table and tossing them across the table. They've also survived him dropping them to the floor but we (unfortunately) have a carpeted dining room, so this isn't a real test of their sturdiness. If you have an older toddler, I imagine these would be too small, and you should get the larger size glasses they sell here. But if you have a baby and want to introduce him or her to drinking from a glass, get these - you won't be disappointed!

The first thing you need to know is these glasses are tiny. I use them for my 7 month old to learn to drink out of a glass. They are the right size for her hands and don't hold much liquid, which is good since most of it goes on her, the chair and the floor. They are, essentially, shot glasses. With my first one, I tried to use ordinary shot glasses. They were never quite wide enough at the lip, and they did not survive tumbles to the floor. My seven-month-old can drink out of these with help. The faceted sides do help her grasp it. They have survived a few tumbles onto the laminate floor so far. I wouldn't vouch for tile. If you are looking for a glass for a toddler or preschooler, this is not it.

Very durable. My kids have dropped and thrown these (yes) and they do not break. So fun for kids to feel like they are using real adult cups. Great for juice because they are sooo small. We liked these in both sizes but the larger one is definitely more useful as the tiny ones are just that...tiny. Can hold about 4 sips of liquid. Great with the pitcher!

I got this product for my 1 year-old son, and it is helping him learn to drink from cups. The small cup size means there's little liquid that gets spilled, and they're easy for little hands to grip. The clear glass makes it possible to see how much he's drinking without over-tipping the cup into his mouth. The sturdy glass makes handling safe. Given that they're dishwasher-safe, clean-up is a snap.

We got off to a late start with non-sippy cups (~15 months), but these are a great size for learning. And even though they've been dropped a few times, they're still holding up well. And, with 6 in a box, there are plenty for home AND grandma's house.

Perfect glasses for my 18 month old to learn to drink with an open cup. Just the right size for little hands. Just enough room for a few ounces, but not so much that he'll spill. Survived an accidental drop from his booster seat.

I started using these tiny glasses to get my 5 1/2 month old to drink water. He is also learning to use a sippy cup. I love these teeny glasses, and they seem to be very sturdy--they have survived several throws already. I love that he has his own glasses to practice on, and expect that over the next months he'll get better and better at holding them himself. Even now he has managed a few sips on his own before dropping the cup or dumping the water out. These are also great because he started refusing a bottle at 4 months. He has had milk out of these--the only way he will drink it except for nursing. And he gets SO excited when I take these out of the cupboard. He is much more keen to drink water out of these than he is to eat solid food. Highly recommended.

These glasses are a great tool for young kids first learning to drink from an open cup. My 3 year old son was drinking from a larger glass with some accidents, but has had tremendous success with these smaller glasses. They are very durable. They have been thrown & dropped on the floor & haven't broken one yet.
